humble haul... missed the Gorilla Ju, pulled a really unlucky number in SMFU, but im happy with what I returned with... got the pusdunks too but those i had already put up... it was great to hang out with you all, and meet some new faces.
wow! really exciting to see all these awesome haul pics... stealthtank, LOVE those two white-toothed deathras! some of the best i've seen so far! ecto, is that a marbled mask for the sally joe head? great stuff regardless of an unlucky number!
Incredible hauls!!! Ecko --> That's an unlucky number? That is a sick looking Pollen. I love the Rebel Captain too. Stealth --> Insane!!! I can't wait to see those Deathras and Miborahs with some nice lighting!!
That's really cool that the gorilla ju's were for sale and congrats on the pk stuff. I agree..I would taken anything from that show.
over 100 numbers were pulled via lottery... I was able to pull #20... then they ended up writing all the numbers again and in a bag, then pulled from the bag, if you had that number it was the order they went in They must have let at least 40 in, (10 at a time) and called like 60-70 numbers. Then HMS and Ricky finally asked how many more were actually there to buy. It was less then 10 so they let us all in at once. I saw the Pollen Custom was still available so I asked Amy for it almost instantly. I love that it is a nice pink hue rub on the glow vinyl. Neb5 was able to score me the sally joe head since he did not want to nab one. He was the 2nd number pulled. I wanted the head because of the Pogey mask being a purple/yellow marble. Lakers baby! lol. all in all it was an amazing event... and the Pollo Tacos were freakin awesome!
Ecko: that copper finkshit is incredible, must be even more amazing in person! Were there many of them?
according to henry very limited numbers on all 5 colorways. I was lucky enough to pull #17... all 5 were still available when I went up... you were only able to pick 1 of the finks (if you wanted one) I chose the copper becaue it looked entirely crazy to me in the display case... none of the flakes actually make it to the surface you touch... its insane to me!... there is actually copper and black flakes infused in the vinyl. I'm assuming during the rotocasting, the vinyl gets pulled to the front, and the flakes get pushed to the back? i dont know how its done... but its amazing. sorry for the run on sentence... but that literally was what i was like when I saw what I had to choose from. My favorite part was when it was my turn, Chris knew already without me asking to add the Rebel Captain to my bill. lol
Gargamel x Grass Hut x Misty Fog x Mitari booth scores: Kinnikuman Five Star Toy Sofubi + Kinkeshi from Mitari HEALEYMADE: Dehara goodness:
Not owning more than a few glittery toys with relatively minimal flake, I had always been kind of curious about that. I wonder how it's done. Nama Niku - That Ilith is really nice! Who painted it?
I was not too far in line behind ya on the day you grabbed that brown Naoya Deathra... such a beautiful piece! Super jealous about that one but many congrats on the pickups! I'll try and snap a pic of my SDCC conquests soon! And once again sick score on that purple Deathra eckotyper... the minimal GID on that one was just too sweet!
my score of the con.... a Fringe Observer Fedora I also saw John Noble walking around outside the con & shook his hand
Gaaah. The person helping me out was misinformed then. I'm after the print(s) if you're not feeling it! (And love the Sunshine Nama Niku!) --EDIT: Apparently they were not proper prints but more like postcards. Would still like one though!
Also had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new one! It's fun waiting in lines around everyone's excitement waiting their turn...... SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON RULES!!!!!!!
Wow, had no idea that the Return of Ultraman micros would be there - it pays to travel, I guess. Loving that Ilith, too. Nice shots of an excellent haul!
Anyone as shit-faced as you would have had fun at a knitting convention. Do you remember telling me you wanted to have my babies while we waited in the Pushead line.
Thanks guys. The Healymade Sunshine and Five Star Robin Mask were both nice surprises. Gol from Gargamel had a shit ton of Kinnikuman stuff this year.... even let me behind the booth to rummage through everything.... Chris from Grumble Toy. Sounded like it was a short run release for the Con. Looks even better in person. Thanks! I love the Butanohana Ultra stuff. Funny I just caught they are the "Rock, Paper, Scissors Battle ver." If you look at their hands, you can see what they are all up to. Pretty funny. Also had Josh Barnett sign my AACC x Kinnikuman x Art Junkie T when he was hanging out at the Gargamel booth. He is a big Kinnikuman fan and both he and Megumi have shirts with Art Junkie.
When I got up to pick there were just 2 left, but I think the last 2 were awesome. Here was my pick. Really love the overall murky/earthy look with touches of purple and pink in the mouth and all over the skin. Not great pictures, but the best I can do with my phone.
