At this rate it will surpass HxS
Namegon, Gomorah, Gomora, UltraSeven, Ultra7
Saved a set of shelves destined for the dump so for the first time I’ve got all my butas together on one shelf.
many of them were adopted from folk on here so thanks again to those that passed them on to me.
Nice setup Bob! And @zindabad beautiful purples go perfectly with the pink mural. Congrats on your adoptions! Deevis, I never tire of seeing those buta snow shots
Still unpacking the herd, and finally found the Paul Kaiju Dino customs, which pair nicely with the OG Red TRex
@Mr. Humphreys wowza those dinos are amazing!
Thank you Bob! Very relieved I hadn't lost them somewhere. Unpacking 12 years of toys is a bit daunting . I finally started shelving the toys over the weekend, and managed 60% of the buta. Here's a little teaser...
It's been a long time since I last posted here, here are some robots to celebrate:
... How do you start this thing?!
Emma is not amused!
there must be a start button somewhere?!
Elated and overjoyed to receive my first Buta Lucky Bag!
Nice Grace. Are you going to cut up the bag and put Kemular together?
Good question Batman!!!
I hate to cut the actual original lucky bag fabric -- the print and nice cotton fabric is beautiful. I really want to make the Kemular though....
Someone made it and it's as cool as his paper craft :
I already use a hair dryer, soon a sewing machine. This hobby changed me deeply.
This is a huge step for Mr. O, to give his fans a plush toy kit! Really takes the term "Lucky Bag" to a whole new stratosphere
Hugely clever idea! In a way, it's a continuation of his paper sculpts, but this is a more enduring form, as well as a grrrrreat toy!
Thank you Mr. O! Please give us more Lucky Bags!
Awesome sauce!!! I love the Crammed Toy Store arrangement -- that's one I actively practice too
Great collection, most people don't have the orange Dorubon or the Blue Seabozu micro Staiin set (one of my favs!). I'm sure you're going to need another shelf soon!
I wish I could see myself with another shelf of Buta but it's mostly likely this same group spread across two shelves with the way the market is now. Maybe if I see some in the wild during my trip to Japan next year. Will have to wait and see.
The build-yourself Kemular is so amazing, I am riddled with jealousy over anyone who has one of these fellas. Oohashi-san's designs are phenomenal, and this toy captures the perfect whimsy, detail, and plain fun while also being just a super Ultra kaiju. It's everything I love, and the idea is pure genius; far better than the super hype snobdom that is associated with so many aspects of 'sofubi' these days, this takes it all the way back to the pure love of toys. Did I mention I want one (or ten!)?
Buta love from Ultraman.
Your Buta photos are especially nice Anthony! They always seem to have a special-ness about them that evokes a mystical, playful, and longing mood. Great composition too! Ultraman looks like he's holding a very special bouquet for his Valentine sweetie (love the pink background!) . So nice!
My friend is helping me to redistribute the shelf spacing in a set of display cabinets (we were able to add two additional shelves to each cabinet! ). The little ones are waiting on the floor, until their "house remodel" is complete. Can you guess what they are? The dinos are not here, they are in a different cabinet. A box-full still needs unbinning, but we're nearly there. In the meantime, here's a teaser....
Haha, such a tease, Grace! What a rainbow of delights you've got there. And I think the top image especially is putting me in mind of Easter with that cloudy colour pop-splosion. I won't try and run off the list of names, but leave it at a very sincere hat tip to you on that lovely family. I know they will love their new remodeled home.
Great photo Anthony! I always thought it was funny how the Jack figure had his arms in this receiving/hugging pose, but I never thought to capture it so perfectly. It is the perfect embrace! It definitely looks like Ultraman went to the toy store and came out with his favourite bundle of kaiju. "I want them all!" So do I my friend, so do I.
