You need to be able to set your F-Stop at somewhere around 1.5" to 2.5". In other words you need a DSLR camera. You might be able to do it with a point and click, but I don't know. I'm just telling you what I did for my pictures.
^ Well, I use a point-and-shoot camera to take my GID pics... By the way, it's time for an elevating shot as a tribute to Brian.
i've gotta try this out on my camera see if i can get it to work. great shot! and equally nice avatar pic.
How did you get your Deathra to glow so bright? I tried to take some GID pictures of mine and it doesn't seem to glow as bright as yours. How long did you charge it up?
i didn't charge it for very long at all. held it close to an indoor flood for maybe 20 seconds. i do play with levels (just using iphoto, not photoshop or anything pro) quite a bit to get the best balance of detail and glow. most of my glow shots don't turn out quite so nicely...of course, the material i'm working with helps a great deal.
^^ I wish I'd had the cash to pick up those MVH sludgies! Norman glow shot by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr
I never talked to VGA.. But if he was into GID I'm sure he was rad! Here's a black light Photo of my GID mummys!
Hi guys, I lurk here a bit trying to surface more often. Tip of the hat to VGA, GID-heads are a special breed Question--is this the Painted LB Deathra? I thought that the green glow guts version was the unpainted with glow limbs as well, and that the painted was glow guts but blue glow (like mine-painted with blue glow guts). I was actually underwhelmed at the weak blue glow compared to the regular Gargamel green glow vinyl, but I see this thing glowing brilliantly. Someone please enlighten me here? Mine is definitely blue GID guts and painted limbs.
So here is my unpainted GID shelf..... Bummed I missed the Recent GID PK items. But here you go. Hope you enjoy it as much as i do.
