Wait, HS x Haroshi now..??! Kinda frightening how this douchebag's bootlegging apparently has only gotten more obsessive over time...
Classic.. moving into counterfeiting gallery pieces. Can't wait to see bootleg wood.. wonder if it will still be canadian maple?
This is fucking crazy, that he's actually doing Haroshi's thing as well. Wow. Time, skill and resources put to awful use.
Who looks at Zheng's profile and says "man, I gotta have a collection of knock-off independent artist toys"? His crappy photos of his bootleg DX army get maybe a dozen likes with no comments on IG and the dude has close to 5k followers. Has it been confirmed he is actually selling any of these, or is this "build it and they will come" and the 2nd part just ain't happening?
I'm only seeing 952 followers . . . which is still 952 too many! Or am I looking at a different account?
That confuses me even more! I got no idea WTF I'm looking at . . . fakes, real stuff, baller shit, baller shit ganked from other accounts, ironic shit, needy shit, pics that are supposed to make me wanna collect OG stuff or pics that are supposed to make me wanna buy his crappy bootlegs! All seems like a fuckin' Asian nouveau riche train wreck! Needs more diamond encrusted rotting zombie penis!
I’m not sure what his name on here is, but on IG it’s Kylo_Rendar He had no clue, I just told him about it. I wanted to rob him for that Ollie. Haha. Now I can just buy that one, just as good, right. @Rich
That’s what we mean, the bootlegger painted his “one-off” to copy a Deaths Vault one-off but it does not match because the bootleg is a shitty copy
I caught up on this thread and all I can say is yikes. Drama aside, I’m really sad to see that Zheng has managed to bootleg so many other artists. I fear that new collectors are going to get suckered into buying these abominations by unscrupulous collectors. I mean, if I was brand new to the scene, I wouldn’t know the difference. Also... is making toys look like they have the fucking measles a new trend?
Judging from the reflections & the differences to the actual posters I'd say these are pics of the original art from one of the Shanghai exhibitions (pretty sure that's the big fiberglass KGJ in the background here)...
