Whatever goes to keep the family together!
Are you the winner of the auction?
walk Ken tin walk of Gatchaman Ⅱ eagle walking robot
Went for: 139,000 yen
Aoshin made Tetsujin 28-go aircraft carrier Iron Man missing item
Went for: 205,900 yen
@Alebrije the art on that is INCREDIBLE! What a gem.
Amazing! Shame it's missing the flying Tetsujin figure
time thing by unknown "Moonlight Mask" Moonlight motorcycle height 12cm
Went for: 252,555 yen
Marusan Gomess sold for 264,000円
Condition looks excellent. Check out those metallic blue sprays on forest green vinyl:
Spoiler: more photos
The same seller also listed an early Marusan Goro that sold for 280,000円
A sealed Bullmark mid-size Gojira on brown vinyl sold for 47,000円
Those beautiful metallic paints look to be in minty condition:
no such luck. Have been moving and wrestling with sewers and furnaces.
Anyone (@deafmetal, I'm looking at you! LOL) catch the Hawaiian Gorosaurus that got yanked?
@Sanjeev - No, but I was planning to bid on it. I have only seen one of those up for auction before. Hoping to see it again, but it was probably sniped by a collector much more local (and savvier) than myself. What did you make of the bottom of the feet -- just very dirty or some blue overspray? The others I have seen had unblemished flesh vinyl showing on the feet.
Sorry--me and my localized euphemisms! I meant to say, "did anyone see the Gorosaurus auction...and notice that it was taken down early and the bids were presumably cancelled?"
I would've liked to have bid too...but I guess someone got to the seller and made a generous offer. As for the feet, I thought they looked odd as well. I almost wonder if someone tried to paint or otherwise color the bottom of its feet blue (ostensibly to match the majority of the rest of the toy).
[umm...now that Flickr can go right to hell with their limited account sizes, where do people host their images these days? I'd like to post a pic so that others can know what we're talking about...]
@Sanjeev - I catch your drift. I have been using Imgur to host photos. I think you might be right about some painting on the feet. I was checking the photos multiple times to make sure it actually was flesh vinyl.
Time thing Marsan kaiju booska electric walking toy with a box
Went for: 2,271,000 yen
Looks like @Vombie ‘s new grail
Haha I was watching that one. That vintage stuff is not even on my radar with how much people throw at it.
Here is a photo of that Bullmark Gorosaurus @Sanjeev and I are discussing:
Looks to be the Hawaiian version on flesh vinyl, but the bottom of the feet seem to have some added discoloration:
This version is very rare, even more so than the Marusan cream belly or the Bullmark stripe belly versions. Here is the only other auction I know of from 2011:
Silver Mask Pachi set
Went for: 45,500 yen
I had never seen a standard-sized bootleg figure with a removable mask from Silver Kamen. I hope someone on the board has won the auction.
Bit of language info: "Time thing" is Google's funny translation of 当時物 (toji mono). "Toji mono" means "something from that time," so essentially it means "original" and usually refers to something vintage.
Poppy Jumbo Machine Da Getter 3 Getter Robo Jagger
Went for: 490,999 yen
Bullmark Hawaiian Pegira in amazing condition with all-over silver spray sold for 229,666円, which is 3x more than another one sold for late last year without all the heavy silver:
Vintage Masudaya Jean Borg A, Talking function!
Went for: 179,000 yen
Bullmark Mechagodzilla mid-size sealed rare color variant sold for 91,111円
Love the colors on this one. I am still trying to land one of these (unsealed preferred!):
Spoiler: more photos
Unusual vintage Pachi No copyright Astro Boy poly-made, size of about 28cm
Went for: 40,000 yen
I have seen a Mexican bootleg of Astro boy very similar to this, almost say identical.
Wow this is amazing!!! Is there a pic of the Mexican boot?! !
