Here are a few more (kind of crappy) pics of the "Gaijin" section - which Ilanena is always in charge of organizing. SUPER fun hanging with all these guys! This SUFESU was one of the best in a WHILE for Indy Sofubi makers - so many releases and people actually seemed interested and bought stuff! Should jst get better from here Datadub/Figlab Ilanena - lots of amazing painted toys... none for sale though! YARGH! Galaxy People! Psyched to get a couple of these figures - can't wait to see what he does next SF (mostly) haul! There were lots of other great things... so many, in fact, that I forgot about a couple
I think so too, nice start to the year. personally, i like pepy the best from SF58. i think there should be some for overseas sales, don't over-pay yet to the resellers.
Nice haul Jon. I'm glad to hear excitement about sofubi in Japan is on the rise again. Hopefully it continues to build.
Other than the Ilu Ilu stuff, the only thing that warms the cockles of my heart from SF was Don's Pavarotti impression . . . next!
Great coverage! I never get tired of looking at those US Toys - especially the minis and giants. Definitely an underrated company.
Not a whole lot that interested me this time around aside from some Frenzy Bros. stuff and the new Genju Gaezal (have the awesome green Mothman on preorder). But it's definitely always exciting to look and daydream about attending. God damn do I ever want a US Toys giant Kanegon. Does anyone happen to know the name of the Bullmark blue winged guy with belly spikes?
if the trunks go any higher it'd look like a corsette. apart from that, i thought the eyes are very well painted and defined. now, here's hoping to score a Goertz and Marbled RC. damn!
Much appreciated. I'd like to find that new version at some point. He kind of reminds me of a mix of Hydra and Gigan, in ways.
Yes, this breathes new life into this sculpt for me. I have always over looked these, but I love the skull painted on with the colors. Sick.
