Got this Marusan Astro-Mu Repro last week...

 

Man that is nice. I have been drooling over these guys for a while, I need to start tracking some the repros down.

Thanks...that's a shame, I wish there were more repros for the Nakajima toys. Guess I'll have to start tracking down the OG's.
They have to be one of the most distinctive vintage lines ever produced.

Agreed Moog, I am a sucker for clear vinyl in all its various shades and incarnations. Hopefully Marusan has more Astro Mu repros planned.

 

End of the 90s, from what I've heard. I believe there was only one version of this figure released; none of the other characters were produced by Marusan.

 

I think there was maybe a weapon variant at some point?

Nekome Kozou and Ragon

 

Awesome, thanks! Yeah this is the only repro I know of... kinda wish they kept a bit more of the vintage styling of the originals but the clear vinyl looks great. A truly authentic repro of these would be amazing.

Yes, I can confirm it's been around for a while as I've had one from years back; and I'm sure I've also seen the weapon variant mentioned above.

 

Who makes the Nekome Kozou toy? It's great!
