It struck me as more of a conversation than an interview, often the case with Maron, and as such I had no problem with it. Not having read much about Simon's youth, in particular, I found the chat quite interesting. I'm curious what you would have preferred from the showcase. Quality television drama? Look no further than Better Call Saul and The Americans. At least as far as what's airing in the US at the time of this post.
Yeah, but that is just it, it didn't feel like a conversation [to me] and felt like it was a bit too forced and trying to be 'interview-y'. e.g. trying to hard to hit on all the standard talking points/mention of shows, etc. At the same time I felt like I didn't gain a whole lot of insight, which I was hoping to. It was fine, of course. Nevermind me...
Thanks for the suggestions Ever check out "The Fall" with Gillian Anderson chasing a serial killer in Norther Ireland? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2294189/ Or "Luther" starring Idris Elba? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1474684/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Right now, I'm starting "The Night Manager" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1399664/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2 All BBC (if I remember correctly) crime noir that puts US tv to shame
@bunnyboy Good article, thanks for sharing. I just watched the first season of Hap & Leonard, which was pretty cool. Funny, but also quite violent. MKW is great in it . . .
