This Paleo Don is one of my favorite Bros that I have. The vinyl and paint combo on this fella are faaaantastic!
First Bwana paint in my collection, and I'm so happy with him. Off the wall, but all of it sings together. Joints are loose as hell though, no idea what to do about that Post up if you snagged one as well! I think mine is the only one we got a clear shot of on the site.
@Fig Belly killed it with these two. Fishstache is easily my new #2 Bro (Lonny will forever be #1) The blue and gold is perfect. Also, couldn't be happier with the peanut killer, perfect size for travel.
I think the joints were made that way. piecing him together is near impossible otherwise. It's great for posing him though. I bought a bunch of doll stands for most of my Mr. Ree collection. They work well for helping them stand and not fall off the shelf.
That makes sense actually. The vinyl gets so squishy with even a little heat that it must be a pain to assemble fully even with wiggle-room. Might look into some stands, or stand him up against the print once I get it in a frame.
I wonder if it has to do with the origin of the sculpt- if memory serves, it is either based on or cast directly from an unidentified vintage vinyl doll.
I remember it being an unmarked vintage toy PK found at a garage sale? I think the naked REE was based on the vintage doll, with slight modifications, and the bunny/beet/fungus/space parts all came from PK’s imagination. Got real lucky today three little princes. Not sure about trades just yet; I was honestly expecting to pull dupes and have to hustle a little. Might go looking for the other milky paint or one of the blanks, but I'm so happy with each of them.
Believe Bwana said on Instagram that the one-offs would be signed, so yep, as far as I'm aware There should be two more in the batch! Hoping they end up with board members as well, so we can all see
I actually haven't seen it in the dark! Since I don't have a place to display it yet, he's still in the box (today I found a few minutes to take him out for photos). As soon as I get glow pics I'll post em!
