watches do alot of things aside from telling time. also, a watch is the only tasteful bling a man can rock.
i find the action of flicking my wrist to see the time is quicker than reaching into my pockets. that sounds a bit like a rhyme from some rap song.. "say kids what time is it?!!" but yeah i hardly wear a watch unless i need to accessorize.
I don't like wearing anything on my wrist. I actually don't have a cell phone either. I just figured that a person who carries a cell phone wouldn't need to wear a watch.
I haven't worn a watch since one of those calculator ones when I was 9. Sometimes I will see one and I'll think it looks cool and I'll want to get it for a brief moment, but then the feeling passes. I was contemplating getting a pocket watch last week.
I couldn't cope without a watch, I have an OCD about being late. I've got a nice cheap Casio watch day to day, and a Skyline GT-R anniversary watch for when I pretend I own one.
Back when I used to wear a crappy Casio digital watch that beeped on the hour, people could ask me what time it was and I could tell them without looking at it. I was rarely off by more than five minutes. I guess my mind was programmed by the watch. I know a couple of teachers who work with middle school-aged kids who can't tell time from an analog clock or watch.
i wear a panerai luminor marina 111 with a swan neck regulator. i'm a paneristi i have a penchant for mechanical things in general, so i love my bikes too it's far cheaper to collect toys
those are SOOO RAD! i'm a bond fan and almost bought the set when they first came out but alas...i passed since they were going for big change. i rocked a swiss army that my mom/dad got me as a bday present for many years and then spoiled myself on a shopping trip in the bahamas with this http://www9.yatego.com/images/43749c559 ... 604458.jpg it is the only expensive piece of jewlery i own. my wedding ring was only $100.
Cool thread! I've definitely got a weakness for watches. I'm with Lamour on this one as far as why I wear one. I don't have any tattoos or jewelry so watches are the only accessory I wear. These two are in heavy rotation for me now I wear this Alessi as a more formal watch and this G-shock for running. It's been trusty and reliable for about six years now. I had a bunch of Tag Heuer counterfeits when they were easy to get on Canal street. They would usually oxidize on the inside of the band within a month and I would just buy another for fifteen bucks or so.
I have a Tag/Heuer like the one in toybots pic...Never wear it unless i'm going to some fancy gathering though..We do a lot of timing for mixing acrylic/epoxy based resins at work but have shop clocks everywhere so it's never an issue-plus like GB said i also use my cell phone..
i have a tokyo bay watch that i love, I am looking for something new though. It is a cuff, and with a Bright red band, so it doesn't work with everything, but i wear it all the time. I tend to buy big watches, because I have a wrist tattoo and work in an office. corporate camo.
