Not trying to give anyone a hard time just pointing out that that thread covers the same thing as this one.
No problems Aldo, but they are correct. I would love to see some old school vinyl and what people consider their top dog.
My fav. character is Gamera, but I can never find the sculpt that I like. I also have no idea of what the name is. hahaha.
More pictures !! It's a difficult question but at the moment its Bullmark Zazahn standard .. He's not that rare or super expensive but when I scan across all my toys I always linger on him
yoko by b-eaK, on Flickr yoko4 by b-eaK, on Flickr yoko1 by b-eaK, on Flickr yoko2 by b-eaK, on Flickr yoko3 by b-eaK, on Flickr this has been my favorite kaiju for a bit. i saw the old image decades ago then when the sofvi monsters mini sets came out a few years back i was stoked to see Marmit produced a mini of this creature! i hope they revisit it as a full size in the future
That is a really great one, and totally new to me. I really love all those patchi kaiju that are rip-offs (or homages, depending on your persepective) or even just totally unique creations. Definitely want to see more realised in vinyl. Doesn't anyone else feel sad for Jamila generally?
My favorite hasn't changed from when I was a wee-pee, watching Creature Double Feature with my pop every Saturday morning...
saturday morning through sunday afternoon was a surreal & artistic voyage in the 70's for sure! those times were simple it broke down to 2 things: wow cool monster(!) then, i wonder if a toy exists......... those are amazing man! its funny how scuffs make vintage have charm all their own- while folks freak out over scuffs and creases on modern era regalia. oh well- monsters is good people!
Yeah, all the time! Him and Seabozu ( and poor, poor Pigmon) deserve out deepest sympathies. Nice selections so far, everyone. Wish I could join in the fun, but all my vintage toys are just images on the 'ol hard drive.
This pic is worthy of a repost! Finally getting to see that precious Bullmark Mecha Godzilla! Weird, growing up in South Jersey channel 48 out of Philly had a Creature Double Feature every Saturday as well. Did we live in a parallel universe? Here is a youtube clip of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF5oNqw-L3A
I think most major cities probably had something like that, the cleveland area had ghoulardi, the ghoul, son of ghoul and although not entirely a horror show big chuck and little john http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1bWjxeYARA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqI5_RA-o4s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_FYQPlbs5g
Heh...yeah, I know I've been dragging my feet about posting pics of my MG, Chris! I keep saying that I'll post more pics once I've got the "whole family" together...well, I've finally got a Mothra larva on her way to me to complete the cast I set out to fill. When she arrives, I'll be sure to post more. And regarding Creature Double Feature, yeah, most cities had different shows like that at different points in time. This was mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DRYnK6b9sc And if you're really interested, check out the legendary John Cimino's (yeah, the Mego Stretch Hulk guy) episode of Swass Cast on Creature Double Feature in Boston: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY3xJ7e_pzM Edit: Oh, they apparently have a website!
no because that forces the other ones to work harder or just get depressed and finally leave you alone were as I don't think me talking up one smogun is gonna get any more effort out of the rest of the bunch
