I've never played CODMW2 and want to due to the hype. But I feel like if I DID I'd just get my ass handed to me and never get better since I'd be getting into it so late. I'm always looking for a new multiplayer game for XBOX but I can't get into anything but L4D2. I wasn't into Battlefield Bad Company 2, Borderlands or Gears of War 2 (GoW feels so slow and chunky, wtf?!)
I really want to try Monster Hunter Tri, how is the online experience if you're playing with people you don't know? I can't see many of my friends sitting down to play it.
seems fine to me - the different games are labeled as to what the people want to do. team up on quests, gather resources, etc. and you have servers for lower level, mid level, high level, and everyone
right now the only game i'm playing is ssf4 for the 30mins - 1hour of free time i have to actually play it. on top of that, switching mains has basically got me back to square one with this game.
you'll eventually get better. that's what I've been playing for a while on PS3. I'm just now a level 17 playing against 60s & 70s but it's getting better, I have been having the proverbial ass handed to me quite a bit though, still fun. the single player is awesome & there's a co-op mode if you gots a homie to play with. which I do not, anyone wanna play the co-op mode sometime? PSN ID = SLAVExONE I tested Civ 4 I think it was a few years ago when working @ 2K. can you imagine being forced to play the same game 5 days a week for 9 hours a day and sometimes overtime for 4-6 months?!?!?!
I used to write reviews for GameSpy, so I feel your pain. Not as acutely as 40+ hours-per-week playing one game, but for every good game I reviewed, there were at least 5 that were just sucktacular.

i was playing MW2 religiously... my xbox decided it didnt like this anymore i guess.. the system freezes 10 mins after i start playing... only with this game though... no scratches on the disc... but i think it still might be the disc... so i went back and i now play gears of war 2 almost daily... if anyone ever wants to team up let me know.. its fun when u have a full party to merc some locusts down!
how about 5days @ 8hrs for 5-6months then switching to 6days @ 10hrs in the last 3-4months. how I really don't miss those days...
XBOX- CODMV2 (Free for all most of the time) I've also been playing Angry Birds on the ipad...super addictive!
I can't stop playing Ridge Racer on PSP. Any other PSP recommendations? My (5 year old) son now beats me at Super Mario Kart on the N64 - should I be proud or ashamed?!?!

WoW this time around....alliance on gorgonash. MW2 on PC PS3: NHL10 Just started Bayonetta Whatever else I have that I never finished... as far as driving games go, I tried the Split Second demo. It's ok but I don't think I'd spend the $60 for it. I would rather spend that on the last copy of Burnout. Need for Speed: Underground is not bad and so is the latest one...Shift. Shift is more racing on tracks instead of on the streets. GRID is also pretty similar to Shift (or vice versa). They're both pretty good. I'd get whichever is cheaper. The GT series is becoming way to Sim like instead of having that balance between Sim and Arcade.
You guys that play CODMW2 on PSN, are you having connectivity troubles? I'll enter a game and then lag all over the place until it stops moving and then it takes me back to the waiting room and then the lobby closes. grrrr, cant get no experience points if i don't complete a game. pretty frustrating. BTW, It's been happening to me all week. Except early mornings and late nights. Been playing it for months and never have had a trouble with the online service until now.
so who all is playing SSF4 on PSN. I thought about getting it for $30 bucks through gamestop because you get a $10 credit (for MGSW at least that's what I'm using it for).
