No problems at all here, that sounds strange, i mean it happens occasionaly when the hosts connection drops out but the majority of the time the host migration kicks in and everything is fine again.
Yeah, I'm using a Cisco Linksys Wireless-N Home Router. I've reset it and set a new password. Also I go through time warner cable for road runner cable modem.
CODMW2 is only $40 w/free shipping from Newegg. I'm pretty tempted but I'm honestly felling hesitation. I rented Bad Company 2 and was only kind of into it. I wanted the online play to be better but it was "We don't talk and are all 13 and douchebags" and I was kinda frustrated by that. Is the online community for MW2 a little more mixed up?
This is one of the reasons I play on PC instead of console for FPS online. I don't get kids screaming for a freaking juice box. There isn't much, if any, trash talking. Even if the kid I'm playing with or against is 12, he is still more behaved than the 13yr old on console.
sorry if this has been discussed already, but what's the verdict on UFC Undefeated 2009 or 2010? Worth buying?
I find it's the game that makes the difference. Left 4 Dead(2) there's a wealth of dicks and annoying kids for sure but MOST people are cool, more than most other games I've played on the XBOX. But war based games always seem to pull out the worst. Gears of War 2, when I tried to play for a bit, was jerk-bag station.
Kinda. In some situations they'd run some pre-programmed paths but then eventually come get you. Also, they programmed one of the bugs in there - I just stormed right through Pinky without dying!
But in a lot of games you HAVE to so you can be on the same page and WIN! I don't care about trash talk, it's the "HAY GUYSZ! OH NO! WATCH OUT! OH I SAID WATCH OUT YOU SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ME IDIOT!" talk that's annoying. I'm not even getting into the more ignorant racist/sexist talkers.
From my experience it's best to play with friends when doing co-op and such. Most folks are either gun ho for squad based stuff or can care less and do whatever they want (I usually get stuck with the lather). I stick to Free for All with party chat...it gets the job done
Alas, I have few friends who play the games that I do and the few who do have schedules that don't work for it. I usually have to just try and luck out finding a group of cool people.
That's what I'm saying, with certain games no luck needed, it takes maybe 10 min to find cool people. I find different people worth playing with in around 10 min or less in L4D2. But I'm generally weary of the more "war" based games since it seems like that is less likely. They seem to attract a group I'd rather not deal with and for a dude who has few friends who plays these games it's just not worth it.
