After spending a few hours on both, I am gravitating towards BL2...but we shall see in a few weeks when a buddy of mine gets his new PS3 cause all I ever see him play is DS. Although some will say that all they see me playing is NHL 13. Are they add-ons that I should consider buying? For BL2 I'm probably going to get the Mechromancer Pack. That class sounds like fun.
Man the original zelda was brutal. I loved that game and it was seriously tough without some nintendo power hotline assistance. I think shadowgate was my favorite game as a kid. Took me hours just to open that first damn door. Gatchabert i am pretty sure dark souls only has the one piece of DLC and it is well worth it if you like the game. Doesn't add a new character or anything like that. More like a whole new world full of horrible things to crush your soul. Might want to wait and see if you get hooked on the game first. It's one of those love it or hate it type of games.
I still loved Demon's Souls more . Cannot wait for DSII though I have some concerns - they have a new director and some things they announced did not sound too promising.
Really?!? The first Zelda was tough but I don't think it is as brutal as DS. Maybe one of the Megamans was (I think it was Megaman 2). I am going to wait a bit before I grab any DLCs. At least I'm not playing anymore facebook games...oh wait, I am. Robot Rising.
That trailer makes me happy. That game will demand a few weekends shut off from the rest of the world. Yeah i am a bit worried about the new director and the supposed change in difficulty but even if it doesn't live up to dark souls i still can't see how it won't be a great game. Zelda was hard but some of that difficulty was probably because i was little kid and i was stunned by the amazing graphics at the time haha.
I'll go as far to say Dark Souls is the best game for ps3. Actually one of the best games I've ever played. I don't think they need to do much to improve on it, slightly better multiplayer implementation and a bit more storywise and that will do for me. I never got into the pvp thing but i know there's some serious pvp players on this board. Can't wait!
Finished Guacamelee. Freaking fantastic game. Great art, retro done right complete with an epic final boss. To sum it up, it was basically a love letter to Metroid/Castlevania written by a luchador.
Oh man, I didn't know it had Co-Op, but I'd imagine that would be fun! I picked up Thomas Was Alone. Interested to see what this game is all about...
i HATE that game!!!! it ruined point & click games for me very early on. we never opened that f'ing first door!!!!!!!!!!
So who plays Happy Street? We now need Facebook friends to unlock stg but I don't want to annoy my fb friends... Lalo, want to pm me? Who else is playing?
Completed Fire Emblem: Awakening. 18.5hrs, and with only 6 characters remaining in the end: Robin (StreetPass character), Gaius, Panne, Tharja, Chrom and Bobby (my character). Overall, really damn good game. Tough and rewarding. And a satisfying epic conclusion. Now to get to my backlog of other unfinished games I've started...
Borderlands 2 anyone (psn same as boardname)? I'm actually enjoying it but I don't play that often. So far I'm just a lvl19 Commando. Sometimes I'll group up with Hiro (lvl15 Assassin). I also have a Siren (lvl12) but I like the Commando better. I think the term is alt-itis I've got a headset so we can mic it up but for some reason, I get a massive headache when I use my headset. At first I thought it might be motion sickness so I tried it without my headset. Something about it makes my head hurt (Turtle Beach P11) I think the term is alt-itis
Anyone else looking forward to Grand Theft Auto V on September 17th? I think I played San Andreas at a friends house years ago but have never actually owned a GTA game. Since Red Dead Redemption was one of my all time favorite games I pay close attention to Rockstar. This new GTA looks spectacular and the virtual world is supposedly bigger than Red Dead, GTA 3 & 4 combined! I saw you can go into the ocean and it's detailed, you can go into the mountains....Here's some IGN likes: http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/05/03/th ... eft-auto-5
Yeah I'm looking forward to GTAV! My girlfriend is going to NY for a week and she's leaving on the release date and I'm seriously thinking about taking that week off from work just so I can play the hell out of GTAV. I don't know if my colleagues will understand why someone that's almost 40 wants to do that but whatever. I'm really looking forward to just getting to drive around and explore everything. That was what I liked the most about San Andreas and it will be nice to revisit. And GTAV just looks like it's going to be full of places to explore and things to do outside of the plotline. RDR is one of my favorite games too and I still enjoy playing it online.
friend invite sent. anyone else wants to add me, I use the same name on here as I do on Steam (at least I think I do). if not...I might be under the name "soup"
Yeah I'm pretty much a boring online gamer. I only play EA's NHL series, Red Dead Redemption, but I like other Rockstar games. I'm big into realistic open world games where you can do anything you want- but still be able to interact with other people online. I got LA Noire, but which looked great, but after you finished the storyline was dull as shit driving around crashing into buildings. That game would have been great with an online multiplayer mode. I've played San Andreas once or twice and remember liking it, so this will I'm sure be so much fun to play (and addicting). RDR pretty much set the bar for Rockstar IMO. Glad to see other people still play RDR. I had not played it online in about 8 months and just played it again the other day. A little rusty but of course you still have jerks shooting you on site for no reason when you just want to go exploring, so it was fun to go on a killing spree.
Just finished Bioshock Infinite. Wow. What a rollercoaster. My brain is scramble and nose is bleeding.
God, I wish I had time. I am looking forward to GTAV. I've been stuck to that franchise like glue since three came out. I never finished San Andreas though. I got lost for hours in Red Dead Redemption. Would love to get back in. The likely scenario is I get all amped up and get a copy the first week and it sits there for months... Having kids means I have to wait until they release a complete collection version with all the DLC. Must teach myself patience.
