Something grand - my penultimate day in the US! Actually sorting out international flights to SD is all kinds of fun. More than likely, I'll be flying out of LAX on July 29. I won't have a car, so I need a lift to LA after SDCC. I'll overnight it in LA (probably at the airport) before flying out the next day. I looked into SD->LA public transport a few years back and...well, let's not go there. So basically I need a lift.
if you cannot find a ride I take the Greyhound from here to LA and 1 way is about 2-1/2 hours and approximately $11-$14 depending on the day you leave!
Cool that's good to know. I reckon there are probably some folks making the drive back, so I figured I'd check here first. Quite a bit more pleasant than taking Greyhound, eh? I'd help out with gas.
hey andy, there's a train that leaves not too far from the convention center that's not bad. Last year I took it to visit some relatives in Anaheim and it took only a couple of hours. Nice ride along the coast if you don't find someone to hitch with
Cool, thanks Lamour. I remember reading up on the train two years ago and figuring it would take 4-5 hours total on public transport, including getting to the station, etc etc. I'm a big fan of public transport (have never had a vehicle in my name). I'm just concerned about winding up in the LA sprawl and then having to figure out how to get to the airport. But I'll definitely look into it - it's a good backup plan.

Kirkland...maybe it all depends on the person! I will never down anyone who don't want to come...for those who do and show up it's gonna be a blast and I cannot wait to meet all of you and any of your friends that you bring along or invite.
Sorry Scott...Manimal already said he will not show up! I already canceled the order on the wrestling mattes and masks

I'm sure we're approaching critical mass with the number of people signing up... a fight is bound to break out sooner or later.
The more and more I think about this, the more and more I can't see it happening. With so many people they may want reservations, deposits etc. I had to do this crap for corporate events and its a pain, plus the evening traffic, other freinds. Hope Ill get to see some of you fuckers, what party does Super7 have planned? Nerdquake?
