even though it wasn't my first choice for a display, i bought a detolf for 20bucks at the year end sale in dec. i told myself i would set it up once these two shelves were full.. well, now there are a few guys off camera i can't squeeze in...
Wow, absolutely amazing collection. I am totally blown away by your Itokin Park collection. The clear rainbow Himalan is ridiculous. Love how you grouped the S7 figures in the Detolf. Thanks for sharing!
i can't believe this thread is still going strong. Stitch Cakes. These guys are just bullies. I love the Vinylmation stuff too. Skylar has a collection of it. Very cool.
Here's what I have so far, I know it's not a lot... I've only been collecting kaiju figures for about 7 or 8 months now, but what I have is steadily growing.
You have a Toygraph Gamera, and that's a great place to start! That puts you ahead of everyone who thinks kaiju wear pants.
Wow, the Bullmark Mirror Man 'Proto' figure is much taller than I thought. Great traditional kaiju collection.
The slash stuff is looking more & more appealing to me, I Have only seen the Black Popy Baragon up close, so I couldn't be sure from the pic.
As far as I know, the Baragon in my pic is an original Popy. My girlfriend bought it for me from a guy who was selling a ton of original Popy figures, most of which haven't been re-done by Slash as far as I can tell. Everything I've seen on the figure that I have leads me to believe its original, but does anyone know if there's anyway I could confirm or deny? Thanks! Thanks a lot! Yeah, when I got it in the mail I was very surprised at the size. I was expecting it to be standard size, but it's about 12" tall! Hahahaha. Thanks man! He's definitely one of my favorite figures.
Jay that stunning! Everything is laid out perfectly! Where did you get those wood shelves from? I really think I'm leaning towards a set up like yours when I move.
Thanks Hank! Those shelves are custom-made--done by our family carpenter. I prefer open shelving too.
@ Joe: You guys are always welcome! @ Jcat: I love working here, even in the wee hours of the morning (as a writer)--that's the reason why there's a sofa bed in there haha. @ Kuromonz: I rotate my toys, I know some of you do this every now and then, to spread the love. Lots of it in boxes at the moment, especially Gargamels and SBs. Toy room/office is a dream come true. @ Lalo: Eames office chair stays with me, in this office, for life. Got it pretty cheap too, from the official local distributor--a demo chair from their showroom--everything is in top shape: from the leathers, the frame and the mechanism. And a bonus, that it doesn't have that brand new look @ Aldo: thanks! It took me a lot of effort to lobby for this space with my wife, if you know what I mean. Haha.
