The display case is really fun. Ikea has them in dark grey and off-white too.
Probably my favourite shelf as well.. but then there's the Gargamel shelf, the mini shelf.. the flesh blank shelf...
Yes really fun, no need more!!
I have the same in Dark Grey
I have room for everything else I'm looking for.
...and always room for new Booska sofubi that surfaces.
This case color is a perfect match for the Booska display! It looks like something you would find in the corner of a dusty mom-and-pop store in Japan. Really great choice.
You know, that giant US Toys Kanegon really eats up alot of space. You should let me help you out. Really, I am only thinking of you.
I superglued him to the shelf. Stuck with me!
I'm preparing for life in full-time ministry, which means a big salary cut, which means most of the basement toy lair has to go, which means it's time for a poorly lit collection shot. Please excuse the Western.
Nice foci, puzzleman! Heartening to see that young Jimmy Corrigan has a place of his own, too.
Does the collection really have to go? Can't God and plastic live as one?
Speaking of focus, I missed this until now:
Looking fantastic, g!
God's cool with it; student loan debt and plastic are the ones that don't get along.
Amazing collection Stephen. The zag and grody sets are phenomenal.
Stephen, KEEP your focus stuff. Sell urrthang else. After the novelty of the new situation wears off, money comes in, things smooth out, ...you'll kick yourself. I've been in a fudge for a while, I started making money again... stoked to still have my focus stuff. Sure, I had to eat a few ketchup sandwiches, but it was worth it.
Dave, here's an updated shot. I got a lot of these last few from Japan in a big haul just in time before I landed in "Brokesville". Big blue glow Kanegon is on another shelf now.
I'm definitely keeping a nice chunk. The best 10-12 of the Zags, all the Grodies, a couple KAWS, etc. But the life of a pastor isn't typically beset by money coming in and things smoothing out, ha.
I'm new to the boards and only been collecting soft vinyl/kaiju themed toys for about 8/9 months now (although been collecting stuff most of my life) and this is what I have so far...
I'm not a diehard collector by any means and this is just one of a handful of my interests, so this is going to be a slow building collection!
I don't know how to use message boards very well either, it seems, I'm fairly computer illiterate and have no idea if these images are even viewable! Any help/tips on images problem would be greatly appreciated
You can use the share feature on flickr to get the BBCode and have it displayed easily here.
Nice growing collection. Cool to see some beautiful Elegab pieces there.
Mit der code:
Who is the golden robot guy on the left side?
Mecha Sad Bear by Luke Chueh
Been a while but thanks for the assistance man, can't believe it's been over a year since I last logged in! Collections grown a bit since so will have to get some more photos sorted!
Collecting is on hold for the moment as I'm getting married next summer and that's draining all my spare pocket monies!
But definitely found what I love the most in terms of sofubi and that's the elegab stuff!
@Hells_pawn81 None of your images are showing up.
You need to find the address of the image that ends in a file extension, e.g., "XYZ.jpg" and paste this in the prompt for the 'insert image' button.
Alternatively, the BBC code still works, and you can post the image directly as such (remove the spaces within the brackets):
