it is a great WF indeed as there wasn't really much things to buy, so can save money. a few nice potentials as mentioned were for previews and not for sale. the few nice items that were for sale were super limited. like ONE for the black goccodo mini chaos bear and 5 or maybe 6 aaa diver? i think the wordings are optional feature.
It would be nice if they were ever available to order somewhere but they are always show exclusives and sell out pretty quick. I gave up trying a couple years ago, the resellers would always be walking away with them by the time I got to the table.
Looks like it's Goldar aka Ambassador Magma (マグマ大使 Maguma Taishi). Maker looks to be Denboku (デンボク). No idea where you can order him from though. Sorry Is it just my imagination or did the Anime style sofubi have a stronger showing this year than normal? Not complaining as I rather enjoy it, just making an observation. It puts the lotion on it's skin... I think it's just a captured Astro Boy figure. Pretty sure the locker was just for display.
Goldar looks absolutely massive. What is the size? 2 feet or something? Also and please let's not start the hype train (I'm hesitant to even post this and probably should not) anyone know if the new pinkish Butanohana Garamon debuted here?
The Goldar is here on their site but it is not available: http://dbk.fc2web.com/ There is also one on Japan Ebay for a mint.
I can see why this table was empty when other tables were covered in toys. Easily the best pieces at the show hands-down. They have so much substance, come from a cultural perspective of developed characters and further a imaginative story based world, something I wish more toys had. Maybe if people who make new toys had more to offer than "buy my sculpt" it would be more meaningful to others.
This is from Hi No Tori or "bird of fire" - commonly titled as Phoenix - Her name is Komu. And it is indeed Osamu Tezuka. This figure was actually put out originally over 2 years ago WF 2010 with some other characters from the manga.
Phoenix! I should have known that. Awesome, thank you for the info. Such a nice little piece of vinyl.
