i was about to post this. more escaregot!!!!! more zombies, period!! but especially escaregot. monster family is fine and all, but the zombies are where it's at... in my opinion.
The recent show Josh had at S7 had a ton of great characters to make into toys...I'd trade my roses away for many of them.
Perhaps I'm missing the people complaining. I don't see too many people being really upset about missing this release. I see a lot of people who were calling out to the community asking where to find them or letting others know which store released them. There are some people who are bummed they missed out, but seem to be excited about what's next on the horizon. No where near the amount of whining and complaining I've seen before over at KR. I understand that everyone is upset about the influx of noobs around here lately. I'm one of them, however didn't we all start somewhere? I've had my [expletive deleted] phase, and I'm over it. I'm starting to get into better quality vinyl and more interesting/inspired toys all together, just help me along. I like the roses, they were my gateway drug in S7 and everything is growing on me.
did anyone get a sweet sketch inside of their headers?! i didn't, but neon monster has some pictures. http://neonmonster.com/NeonMonster/stor ... 1/detail.w
Not necessarily 'complaining' . . . just posting for the sake of posting! I really don't give a shit if some total stranger living 5000 miles away who's posted on the forum 4 times has managed to buy a newly released toy, nor am I interested that they've appeared at X but sold out at Y . . . if collectors want it, they will find it . . . it's not fuckin' rocket science! A fine example of the meaningless bullshit post mentioned above!
Not only that but I think the endless want threads by people with less than even 5 posts is getting so old. These people contribute nothing to the board and then expect all of us to help them out. Just like Andy said, collectors will find it if they really want it. I love this board so much, probably more than I should, , but the point is there aren't many boards like this out there. I think a lot of us want to keep it that way. No need for this place turning into a shit hole. How many places can you go online and trade with people you don't know and have never met? I have only been ripped off one time on here and it was 100% my fault, I should have been smarter. I have built friendships on this board that exist outside of toys. The point is I love this place and I hate to see it turn into just another message board. End of my rant.
That is indeed pretty sweet. I keep all my bags/headers from various toys (stevens, killers, etc etc), but I don't think I've ever looked inside of them. If I were to have one of those, I don't think it would go in the drawer with the rest of them.
I was bummed, I bought a yellow RV on Super7 and got a refund 2hours later since they were oversold and by then everywhere else was sold out. Oh well, I was REALLY happy to score a Lucky Bag last week and you can't win em all. Congrats to Josh and S7 on great sales and on making such kick ass toys!
I'm with you, Joe. I'm not one who "has to have it". If I score a toy I want for my collection, cool. If not, oh well. There's always next time. I also look at it as a blessing in disguise since I'm spending too much damn money anyway!
Agreed - If it's a great piece now, it will still be a great piece in a year or two. And if you don't like in in a year or two, maybe you shouldn't have bought it now.
glad to see no one buying them there. hopefully a few months sitting there and the prices will get back to reasonable.
When I was bagging and headering the yellow roses weeks ago. I looked over at Josh and said "hey you should draw in a couple of these. It would be cool to open them up and find that". Josh being the sport that he is, stopped doing work for a few minutes & did a couple. We stapled them up and threw them into the pile, forever to be lost. We agreed it would be a cool surprise. Keep your fingers crossed!
