The Excelsior is awesome for the price. It definitely needed some NOS tubes and I upgraded the speaker to something more efficient but it sounds killer now. Similar vibe to an old Silvertone amp I have.

One of the cool things about going abroad is you find clothes/shoes you can't get in your own country. For years every time I found a cool pair of shoes online it would be a Europe or Japan only item. Seems like most companies make the lamest generic versions of shoes for the US while overseas gets all the choice looking styles/colors. Picked up these great Onitsuka Tiger Sakurada Sydney kicks in Barcelona:
Image

I don't even like Campers (probably because you never see styles like these here in the US) but these were perfect:
Image

Oh and this was delivered to me yesterday (actually arrived the day after I left but my mail was held) perfect fit:

Picked up this Mexican bootleg not too long ago. He's got a Mego/Joe body, but with a crazy dino head. Would love to see what this guy's clothes looked like *assuming he had any. Anyone seen anything like this before?

It's a piece of piss when you have two people. It's the fear of breaking the glass that makes them fiddly like when you put two side panels in and they wobble about...that shit is freaky.

Found this old coloring book. I guess Marvel wasn't very tight with their licensing back in 1977. I mean, where's the rage, Hulk?

^Thanks ! it's impossible to see, but the 'Anglican Scrape Addict' Flexi ( under Downcast in the top pic) has a three word review from Mr. Pushead himself from Maximum Rock N Roll. That brought back memories....nowadays you think of toys when thinking of Pushead, but i'm old enough to remember Thrasher, MRR, Zorlac, Septic Death covers....the man is a legend !

It was sold like that. I need to find a Creature head for it, but I don't mind the Bozo head for the time being :)

On a related note... have you ever seen this Creature Clown mask???? So strange.
(also, that guy has a totally insane mask collection, worthy of much internet drooling)

Also on topic to The Creature . . . I just got this guy from Japan. Totally crazy. 7/8" tall, solid brass, seamless/endless ring attached, sincerely true to the original soakie sculpt.

Great taste. Welcome to SB. Here is an earlier post I made on the 'Anglican Scrape Addict' Flexi I thought you may like.

I discovered Japanese music in 1985. Kalv (Heresy) and Dig (pre Earache records) put out a flexi that had Lip Cream and Execute on it called "Anglican Scrape Attic". I got it from them before a gig in Nottingham. It cost 40p and it skipped like fuck. I was hooked. The same year I bought the GISM LP. It is still my favourite Japanese lp.

The flexi said to play it at 2000MPH

Post Re: The "What You Got In The Mail That Isn't A Vinyl Toy" Th
^^ Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the link ! I have always been proud that I actually managed to keep this flexi in good shape over all these years ( I still have the sticker it came with ) and I had no idea that this flexi was in any way associated with Earache Records. I used to have all the Earache stuff too ( Napalm Death, Heresy, Godflesh, Carcass etc) but 15+ years ago during the absolutely no money days......I sold my record collection for $1000 to pay rent so my girl and I wouldn't have to go homeless. Still regret it. Should have just been homeless for a while and kept my awesome records : ) I had every Samhain and Misfits too....live and learn.

BTW....I had never seen different colored covers for Anglican Scrape Addict. Wonder if different parts of the world got different colors as you're in the UK? Cheers !
