I thought Juno was kinda buggin' too. "Honest to blog?" And seriously, how many 16 yr olds know who Soupy Sales is? I could go on.....

Anyway, if your Mom likes stand up, Ediie Izzard is a good choice. Also, if she's not up for a whole movie, maybe some TV shows like Flight of the Conchords (my Mom loves this show), Fawlty Towers, Absolutely Fabulous.

And of course you can never go wrong with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels or A Fish Called Wanda

Stealth, you and I think alike - I was going to suggest some of the same films. The older screwball comedies are some of the best things out there - they really don't write 'em like that anymore. Most all of the Marx Brothers' films are great as well, and as for modern, I have a soft spot for the Drew Barrymore romantic comedies, like The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and Fever Pitch. Most of the John Hughes films are brilliant too - besides the high-school based ones, Uncle Buck and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles are really funny. And NT, if your mother-in-law likes Steve Martin, LA Story is a must.
Hope everything turns out OK.
