Post Re: best way to pack toys for a move
thanks for all the replies... pretty sure this thread will help future movers as well. :D

planning on packing them up the day of the move, and it's about a 30 minute drive to our new (first!) house.

pretty sure they will be moved in a plastic tub, still deciding whether to pack them in bubble wrap, or within my shirts.

THANKS, EVERYONE!!!

I use glad wrap think you guys call it ceran wrap. Buy a big roll of it wrap em up drop em in a box with paper or bubble wrap for extra padding on the pricey purty coloured ones.
Works everytime.

Congrats to your first house! Can't wait to see how you will display your collection. That's the fun part about having a new place. All that room!

That's hilarious, because I'm about to move and before I thought about mattresses and couches I was searching for display cases.

I just moved (first house) and already had the toy room planned out before we moved anything. It was also the first round of boxes that I unpacked. :D

moved!
i went with wrapping them in my shirts and placing them inside big trash bags. $$$ reasons.
the move went smooth. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. i would have never thought of wrapping them in clothes.
downside was that we were sideswiped by some of the cost of buying the house last second, so we didn't get to order stuff we really wanted for it, so the toys are displayed the same way... but this time in my office!
