On that note, when they did that reunion tour a few years back, they were egged while playing in Chicago (due to them being shitty and apparently asking for some ridiculous guarantee). That was possibly the only reason I wish I had been at that show.

I don't know what any of those skinheads bands sound like other than a bunch of dudes chanting over some fairly average three chord songs. Don't get me wrong, I like plenty of stupid music, I just can't get behind anything associated with skinheads. I gave that record a listen though based on the opinion of someone that I generally think has decent musical taste. After the second or third song the joke was wearing pretty thin.

I'm not a fan of joke bands either. Funny bands, oh hell yeah, but joke bands no thanks.

I really like all their albums, which I know a lot of people don't. I enjoy the progress and experimentations they've had as a band. That said, Halfway Between Here & There will always be my favorite. Probably because it's when I really started to get into them, and also because they started to branch out a bit musically.

I really like "It's Only Another Parsec?" and "Bled To Be Free" off of Mandala.

I got the Broken Bells and new Gorillaz albums... i think they're both very good.

i honestly have never heard of most of the bands mentioned in this thread... maybe i'll give a few a shot.
