There are currently three good magazines in Japan, which you can order or subscribe to from your local Books Kinokuniya -- "Uchusen" (Hobby Japan), "Newtype The Live" (Kadokawa) and "Toei Hero Max" (Tatsumi).

In the Greater New York City Metropolitan area, you can find Books Kinokuniya at:

There are also stores in West Nyack, New York and Edgewater, New Jersey.

oh, trust me, I know where they are In fact I have standing accounts with Asahiya need to get one for Books. They normally don't stock all of the mags, though which is a drag. The larger Kinokuniya by bryant park tends to lean more to fashion than anything.

I've a strong connection to the original Daimajin movies (I used to watch their English-dubs on "Creature Double Feature" Saturday mornings with my dad). I'm REALLY hoping this series doesn't suck...but modern day? I'm not getting my hopes up.

I just can't wrap my brain around a Daimajin production that's not a jidaigeki.
