Basically they all suck even the fancy ones. If you are using them in a static environment (not a car) they do ok but they never work for me driving around in the city.

i think even the more expensive ones suck. The FCC really limits the power of those things so getting a more expensive one won't increase the quality that much. A lot of stock and aftermarket decks have direct line adaptors you can buy that are meant for the ipod and I think most of those are in the $30-$100 range. The tape deck transmitters work a lot better than the FM ones but nobody really has a tapedeck anymore

I have a Monster Cable one cost about $80 and it's wired, seems to be ok but it all depends on how well you receive the radio station, if it's clear then there's no problems but if you're in the hills or whatever and the reception gets bad then there's nothing you can do but change the station and try for a better one.
