 Perhaps Another Dissected?
I was looking at the pictures on the original-fake website and found this. I don't know what it is for or what it means, but hopefully it's another Dissected? Or maybe not hopefully....I don't know.

Kaws should take a vacation. He's releasing way to many variation to be credible anymore!

I did hear that from a friend in Japan that might be possible, but Kaws did say that there would be now glow in the dark in an interview a few months back. Right?

I hear what you're saying. I hope there aren't anymore Dissecteds.
I think he just needs to get back to his artwork and give his consumer products a rest for a little while. Unfortunately that doesn't seem likely with the OF store.
I think the OF store should be a rotating artist store - change the artist every 1-2 years. Otherwise it seems like there'll be serious oversaturation and market burnout.

As a Kaws collector, I agree and think there should be time given to consumers to play "catch up". I love all Kaws figures and want to have them all eventually. If too many figures get released, it could cause consumer frustration. Which in turn, could lead to rebelling against Kaws and a stop towards collecting. Kind of like an "I give up" feeling.
As for variations. Too many is bad! Right now the 3 dissected versions is perfect. Anymore would probably frustrate me a little. Although I still would try scoring it.

If the Kaws/BxH numbers are any indicator, we may not have seen the last of the dissected. (And remember there were 5 Kaws/Pusheads, as well.)
Great idea about OF rotating artists.

I *hear* there is something more coming for Dissected fans...Something much more special than simply another *colorway*.
We shall see.

I still like the idea of a discted with the sides flopped. Or a top-half disected, bottom half normal.

Bronze edition. And not like the Pushead, but actual bronze castings. And in an edition so small that there's no chance of getting one.
Ah, looks like Andy already got to that!

I was hoping it would be a all white dissected made in the same high gloss material the KawsxBxH was made of...

Kaws should slow the f#ck down. He is loosing any cred he had as an artist by pumping out variation after variation.

I don't think Kaws needs to keep pumping out figures to keep his shop open. His OG paintings sell for thousands of $. He's becoming a franchise.

I would like the right half of each colorway that would fit over so you can have both a dissected, and companion

Not only will there be a bronze dissected piece, but an Accomplice as well. BTW, Nigo has let go of a few of his original Astroboy sculptures. More news on that later...Word that I have is no more "toy" dissecteds - no GID. Also, no more toys for at least 4 months...

Yep it seems the shop and its serious overhead pressure are forcing KAWS to go the way of other vinyl companies that shamelessly crank out a quick series of colorways.
Not that the Dissected is a bad piece (it certainly isn't "great," IMO) but I'm just tired of the colorway machine. If vinyl companies took their time with these things and were more thoughtful with the colorway releases, I wouldn't have a problem. But 4....6...or more colorways within a few months is usually just too much.
Hey, the guy wants to make a buck, that's his business. But with what he charges for figures made in China using cheap plastic and cheap production methods, well, I'd just like to see more thought put into them.
Still waiting for a KAWS piece that approaches the brilliance of the Pushead Companion.
