Post Bloody Version of the Blue Madball Mantis
So I just scored this guy on the 'bay over the weekend
Image
(This is the pic from the auction, i will post more when the figure is in hand)

I haven't seen one for sale or trade in quite some time, so I was wondering if anyone had an idea of the actual rarity of these guys.
The SB Checklist has it as a 3/5

I am pretty sure I got a ridiculous deal, so I am psyched either way
(The more blood splattered figures the better!)

Its quite rare, I think from the ratio it was worked out that there are 33 of them. Madball's don't get much love so its never been crazy prices on them, I scored one for $125.

Thanks Parka and liquidsky, I agree they are really cool, I have been keeping my eye out for this one since it came out

I don't want to brag or anything, but you might have to see the auction to believe it.
Needless to say I jumped on it immediately when i saw it

I think these were originally sold blind bagged so you had no idea whether you would get the bloody one or the unbloody one.

Insane price. I love bargain prices makes up for when you overspend on something.

I always wanted one of these dudes, congrats. Reminds me of the original Dawn of the Dead Zombies.

Good deal!
Liquidsky is right, they were sold blind, and if I remember correctly not too many people pulled the bloody version.

Congrats on the SB bargain, there ain't too many out there! :D

I wasn't really into the Madballs at all but picked up the two from the Halloween '05 set to complete, and they are a REALLY nice sculpt . . . the size of the heads make 'em pretty substantial compared to the Mantis and GF!

Some new Madballs would be cool!

They came in that supposed opaque green bag. People were mentioning that if you pushed the figure towards the bag you could see if it was bloody or not.
