I don't think I'd be comfortable with Frank doing a sculpt of my guys. Although, the plaster may feel nice...

Wow, I had no idea they were that low of a run. Still, I don't think the production size is any reason to customize or not - it's not a tragedy if an edition of 5 becomes an edition of 4 because someone had a great idea for a custom job. I don't have a problem paying $200+ for a custom if it's going to look killer, and I find solid one-color pieces a bit boring. Still, it seems finding the pieces is the main obstacle at this point anyway...

Can't say I agree with any of that. I think you just lowered by a considerable margin your shot at getting Cronic figures on the board.

Show some respect, dude.

How's that Dorogami collection coming along, Glenn? You've bought at least 5 in the last 3 weeks.

I do show respect, everytime I drop a load of cash for a figure or make a post about how amazing I think they are. I just don't subscribe to the notion that I can't do whatever it is I want with a figure I own. What you're saying is that customizing a figure shows lack of respect - that's ridiculous. So, when Paul Kaiju or LASH cranks out a custom that blows people away, it's disrespectful? If it's the edition size you're bothered about, I can't help that there aren't enough made.

Should I contact every single Cronic or SB fan before having a custom done to make sure they already have that particular figure or to make sure they'll never decide they want it in the future?

Even Lash said he wouldn't touch an edition of 5.

I own a number of customs. I've got deep respect for customizers like Lash, Shapeshifta, and Paul Kaiju. Many companies put out blanks so people can customize them. Then there are figures made in runs of 50 or higher.

All I'm saying is your attitude about customs is going to affect whether or not (at least some) people here will be willing to sell you figures in the future.

I was buying Cronic before you and will probably be buying it after. I still think most of the sculpts suck. I see no reason to hype the shit out of them.

Just for the sake of debate, I'd never have a custom done on an edition of 5 either - I was merely making a point, maybe just not the most accurate one...

Damn this was meant to be a " I love my Doro" and post your pics thread.

We all love customs and we all wouldn't destroy a 1-5 fig. We ALL know this and all the ball breaking somehow distored the line between joke and real feelings.

Back to pics....

while you where all slinging shit I scored this:

;)

Ouch bitches and SCORE to me !!

History check - I was fighting your "hater" mobs single handedly for quite some time here.

I'm really happy that Cronic is getting his due. He's a great guy and an outstanding artist. I'm glad to support him and will continue doing so whether or not one or all of his figures are "in fashion".

Not really...
And I know quite a few people that had cronic figures a long time before there was a certain hype voice shouting about them and kr trying to stock a random few.
Not everyone has to be a cheerleader.
