Tenacious D figures - some cool new stuff
great to see some new high quality western vinyl
that is really fresh and not repitive like most.
spotted on vinylpulse today:
"The featured product announcement were the Tenacious D figures designed by John K. and produced jointly by Thunderdog Studios and STRANGEco. The painted protos looked great, especially Jack Black -- the facial details are compelling. The figures have an intentionally kitschy appearance from the color choices to the unfinished back-sides. I didn't really measure these, but they are fairly large (10+ or so?)."

I like StrangeCo, but not a Thunderdog fan.

As a longtime fan of the D, I want very much to like this pair- the JB is right on, but, as a caricature, the KG just does not work for me.

Too bad these didn't come out when they wanted them to at the movie release.
I was trying to figure out who the KG looked like and it's an old Disney Country Bears piggy bank I had.

Love the D! The KG does have a bit of the Droopy Dog thing going on. But I would pick up both of them!

I can dig the JB figure - but the KG looks like a sad snuffleupagus. Love the animation style tho - anyone know how much will these retail for?
