It was actually quite crowded, although the exhibition hall is huge. You just don't see the masses in the photos here.

Then again, WonderCon is not the "biggest" of the conventions. It's very much about comics. Super7 was the only real seller of kaiju although there were plenty of vendors with American superhero toys, some of whom had a few pieces of kaiju for sale.

The thing I thought was weird about this one was Celebrity Alley. Everyone was ignoring them. It was kinda pathetic ... old Star Trek (original series) actors falling asleep in their chairs, nobody asking for autographs. I did talk to Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) for a moment. Dude seemed really bored. The kid who played young Boba Fett went on and on about how pretty women are in L.A. LOL.

Really, it was all about the Mini-Damn.

I think the problem is that they spread the convention out over 3 days. it should be 1 power packed day!

I agree given that there weren't all that many events to justify three days. Weirdly, the promoter's main selling point for this con was that some people who attended on one day just might be eligable to see a movie that opened a week later everywhere. Big whoop.

Im a comicbook nerd and I was only there from 10am to 1pm, one day.

It wasnt a total bust, and its nice to bring everyone out and spend a little time together.

Plus, the Damn it self was worth a days admission.

+1, it was fun walking the floor with moto and shibby talking endlessly about toys. what could be a better way to spend a day?
