Post ebay rant....
Don't you just hate it when you're bidding on something that has remained elusive for a long time, only to have it end prematurely because someone has
pm'ed the seller with an offer to sell off the system.
Worse yet, this it the second time I've had this happen with this particular joker.
Possibly worse yet, he may be a member of this forum.....

That's some bogus crap. In the past I've had people ask to stop a sale for their offer, I just told go bid that much than and maybe they'll win. It's kinda the point...to be highest bidder.

I know how you feel. I was bidding on Mark Mothersbaugh's handwritten DEVO manifesto he wrote in the '70s and the auction ended early! I am bummed to this day about that.

understand completely,,,just does not make sense

if the shadow bidder's lump sum offer is so good,,,then it should stand out in auction...

i guess sellers get greedy when big wads of cash are offered upfront...thing is,,,if the item is that desirable,,,there is a good chance that someone else out there may be willing to pay more..

and the seller ends up with frustrated "by the books" bidders who may not trust their future auctions... lame-o!!!!!!

Well this will no doubt tip my hand....
But at this point who cares...
A Bibyun 8" Vinyl, one of the very few that I'm missing to complete my Bibyun collection. It's a relatively obscure and hard to find vinyl, and it's also very likely another board member made the offer the "japanese wrestler from the 70's" could not refuse.

Maybe the auction was taken down because someone reported keyword spamming to ebay? And maybe it will resurface again?

Were there alot of unrelated keywords in the auction headline?

yeah,

One time I found an auction, it was a lot of plastic dinosaurs with an old large size Barom 1 villain in it. It was pulled right after I bid.

That's so nice of you :)
This is a super common 3.5" version of Bibyun.
I'm looking for the 8" version.

that sucks ! hope you dont think it was me akumizer . i have personally never asked a seller to end an auction early . dont know anyone on this board besides you and me that collect bibyun . paul , i do know about the barom 1 kaiju auction . once again not me but i do know who did manage to end the auction early . that vinyl is worth about $4000 and he sold off the other stuff to cover what he paid for the auction . really cant even count the amount the of times i had auctions end on me early . even had akumizer phone me and tell me an auction i was bidding on ended early . since it must have just happened i e mailed the seller and made him an offer . he e mailed right back and said it was a better offer and i ended up with it .
