Let me know what you all think... Im a huge Matango fan, my favorite toy by far. Next color Im planing will be solid black with gold fur, maybe red spots.

Now THAT would truly rock! Especially if you could cast them in glass so you could see the booze!
Did you sculpt and cast these? Or did you make a mold from a toy? And are these hollow (the decanter comment made me think so)? If so, how did you cast them?
Regardless, these look really nice!

I sculpted, molded, cast them.. everything. Yep they are hollow, but one solid piece, the head and arms do not come off. But I have some Im working on now with different arm and head positions.
This is made up of 3 different molds. One for the body one for the head and one for the arms. The body and arm molds were a straight forward 2 piece mold each. The haed was a 6 piece mold. I then attach all the pieces after pulling them from the molds.
Oh... and the silver on the first one... thats a real Platinum luster. Stuff is harsh... Got my head buzzing yesterday.

Stuckie -
Those are amazing! You're a genius. For anyone who hasn't seen Stuckie's work first hand, it's even better looking in person.
Awesome work - you're actually tempting me to dip into my pile of M1 matangos to trade.

Thanks for all the props.
I should have 3 more done in another couple weeks.
I am planing on doing other characters as well in the future. I also figured I could make smaller sized ones and used rubber grommets so the arms and heads could move.
Eventually after I get more practice with current characters out there I will do some of my own designs.

Let us know if you ever decide to sell some. You could also make blanks and have the artists on this board do some awesome customs!

Blanks would be fun too but paints on glazed ceramic can be sketchy... it'll scratch off real easy. I might be willing to supply a couple though. We'll see.
Main reason I dont want to sell them is... its obviously not my design. I dont want to make money off of them. I know trading is kinda the same thing but I dont feel as guilty about it.

Only dabbled in resin.. but I would need silicone molds. Ceramics use plaster molds.
