I have been reading the Nightshade editions of the collected fiction of William Hope Hodgson and last night I read a story called The Voice in the Night. Just 15 pages or so, it contained the basic plot of Matango. When I checked on it today, sure enough, Hodgson is supposedly even credited in the movie.

Is anyone aware of other Arkham/Weird Tales author-inspired vinyl?

Ill go as far as to say ive never seen a good 3 dementional of anything lovecraft. they never meets my expectations. I will say that the cthulu game on xbox IS right along the same story of "shadow over innsmouth".

well the Cthulu never really did have much to do with dimensions 2 & 3 - they jumped right on to 4, 7 & 17....
