I picked up the James Jarvis Troll figure a couple of months ago and I love it. It is a serious chunk of vinyl.

I picked up 7 of the City Folk scarygirl figures, and I may end up getting the rest. Nathan J has always been one of my favorite artists.

My western vise is Muttpop. I have all there figures to date.....

I think the last one I picked up was the Kaws-Pushead silver version. But as of lately I feel like the line is starting to blur between east and west with so many western artists dipping into the kaiju stream so to speak. I guess just buy what makes you happy

I scored a green Woodring Dorbel that had been sitting in a comic shop in Texas since it came out. Got it delived via punk rock express. Pretty cool!

Probably the orange Steven the Bat. I do love Ledbetter's pink teeter (can't beat it for $40!)and the Biskup Pollard brother #2, but those dont count.

I know you're not hating...And this isn't directed to the thread starter - and honestly I'd LOVE to see a solid answer to this - Why differntiate between "Western" and "Japanese" vinyl? What's the point? Seriously.

well, let me put it this way. I don't read the KR board much anymore (so basically my differentiation is toys talked about here as opposed to there).. but from last year the "hot items" seemed to be the JLed stuff, Biskup, Kaws and [expletive deleted]. One year later (now)... it seems that the "hot items" are JLed stuff, Biskup, Kaws and [expletive deleted]. Basically the exact same stuff as last year, but to a different degree... I was just wondering if I was missing something & maybe someone could turn me on to some new toys. maybe this isn't even the most appropriate place to ask. oh well

Not to pick on Roto, but I look at their store page and there's 66 Western items listed. Everything seems lame except the Biskup Alpha Gaichou (but I got one months ago) and maybe the Green Mr Bumper (but I already have the red). I like Nathan Jurevicius (Scarygirl) but I already have enough on his stuff.

I look at S7's store and its the exact opposite. A couple lame things and lots of stuff I'd like to pick up or already own.

hm. you have a point. i guess it is only a matter of time that i will feel that everything is stagnant and just start collecting stuff I actually like

I was being sarcastic, but I suppose one could argue that Bemons and Exoheads are hot this year where as a year ago, they weren't considered hot items.

And Rumble and Skulltoy minis are hot new items this year.
