Who wouldn't ??
But you know the old saying a picture speaks a thousand words.
Being as big a fan as I am getting the thumbs up from the man himslef is a great reward
Doing fan art I always go into it knowing full well I'm getting nothing in return.
All I hope for is that the person to be stoked. Some are very happy and some could careless.
At the very least you know who is an appreciatve person and who isn't for your efforts.
This picture is one of the best gifts I've ever gotten in return and if I get nothing more I'm very happy ( but yes a custom in return would be god sent )
Wouldn't you be happy to get a thumbs up from the person in the toy game you idol the most ??

congrats to lash on getting some props!!!!
to those showing petty and envious sentiments,,,it is not an attractive or mature
thing to do,,,it makes YOU look foolish on a public forum where we are suppose to conduct ourselves like adults...(i know these are toys we are dealing with,,but
to act like a baby throwing your toys out of the pram,,,,it is not cool,,,get a grip!!!)
if you do really feel that way,,,keep it to yourself,,,or amongst your close comrades for that matter...
i know i am not impressed with all the knit picking & personal attacks happening in public as of late...

Has it really gotten bad here? I think not. Of course by point out what you pointed out just acctually stirs the pot. Please don't fuel the fires, if there are any.
Some people are realllly sensitive, others are not. I would not assume anyone is actually anrgy or feels 'attacked'.
Congrats to LASH. Others who don't like it, opinion noted, respected, end of story.

So one should censor one's opinions? And the board should only be about rainbows and unicorns? Cmon.
I think its all about balance.

i am all for opinions.....
i just believe that ganging-up & inside jokes are not a good way of going about expressing one's opinion....
that is the kind of thing that happens in high-school....and high-school is something that is 22years ago in the past for me!!!
to be precise,,the board should be about rainbows,,,smog,,,unicorns,,crackheads,,,child-eating cyclops,,,infected wounds and fluffy clouds

btw that's 'nit-picking', not 'knit picking', which would mean
like undoing your sweater or something. just saying, okay?

Really well done, I can imagine how you feel because I've sent fan artwork when I was younger to a comic book artist I loved and had it published in the back of their comic in the fan art section, I was so chuffed, couldn't wipe the smile off my face for a month.
I think it says a lot of about your good character that you can brush off and laugh about the childish, conceited comments some people on this board make about your work.
I think what you do is wonderful, some isn't to my liking, but I respect the work and skill involved to make it regardless. So keep doing what you're doing and hopefully some day I'll have one of your customs as well

Any negative comments made have not been against Lash's style or ability (both seem quality), but the whole idea of customization in general. I don't see how you equate a difference in opinions over the "ethics" (pathetic using that word about toys, but I can't think of a better one) over customization with "they're just hatin'" or "they're just jealous". To be honest, the existence of this thread seems to be more conceited than any negative comments made.
As a side note, and I've stated it before, my belief is that if you buy it, it's yours to do with as you wish.

lol conceited
Shame on me for being happy that my fan art was appreciated by the guy who CREATED the figure.
Hey I was able to make the guy who makes the brand of figures I love the most excited. He now knows who I am. Thats more than I can say for many who collect.
You guys have to learn to lighten up about this hobby. It will drive you nuts if you let it. Trust me I've learned my lesson. It seems that some people do more complaining , criticizing and trying to make others feel bad than they collect. What ever I guess, but I want to spend more time here enjoying all toys than what it means to be a true collector or what ever.
Love me hate me whatever its all good.
At the end of the day I'm happy with what I'm doing. I've connected with many very cool people here with whom I would have never had the chance to get to know through them and that is true satisfaction for any artist.
Some people hate my work and thats cool. But some people love my stuff also.
I also appreciate the hating at least I provoked you took the time to write about me
Thanks to all who where happy for me I appreciate the congrats and I'm sure you know this if you know me !!!
I'm still stoked and no shit talking is gonna take that from me
And for the record I never said "they're just jealous" I have no clue where you got that from. ??? ( shrugs shoulders in confusion )
I said as a joke all the haters can stop hating. But I guess I have to remember some here seriously cant take a joke. I though the emoticon would have made this clear.

"Thats more than I can say for many who collect."
That's assuming that everyone who collects toys wants "cred" or "props" from the creator. I personally could care less.
"Shame on me for being happy that my fan art was appreciated by the guy who CREATED the figure."
Noone's begrudging you your happiness...I think it's the "try and hate me now", showing up people attitude you started the thread with.
