I like these Vinyl Junkies figures, so glad to see some love for them here. The swirly translucent pumpkin head is rad!

Yeah, the TT version and clear pink were pretty much the only kaiju/jp exclusives at nycc....

Is the painted pink one an exclusive? I really like it, and the Pumpkins rock hard too.

Cant get over the RADness of these Zombi's. Not sure if I like the pink swirl more than the solid pink, but definitely a winner.
add: I wouldent buy one, even for $20, but I still reserve the right to think there RAD.

I think it is a bad design. I think it looks like an american version of a japanese toy. I predict no one will give a shit about it in 6 months.

I wouldn't go so far as to label them as terrible.
This clear pink one looks kinda appealing.
Now the Horselington, that is a terrible toy.
I thought we were all supposed to appreciate the fusion of east and west.
hahahahaha

have you actually seen one in person? I thought the same about the pink until I held it in my hand.

Can't say that I have. What? Cheap feel to it?
I admit that it has sort of a derivative fighter look to it.
My problem with it is that it would be a one-time purchase. I couldn't see collecting a series of them. So it becomes kinda that odd toy out that really doesn't tie in with everything else. But this pink is kinda tempting.

I went to NYCC with the intent on walking away with one of these just from the photos. When I saw it in real life I decided to pass tho. The blue colorway just seemed lackluster. But then I didnt like the Japan Spirits SB stuff either.

they don't feel cheap, I am sure they are made at the same factory most everything else is. They just lack presence, the figure seems to be trying to hard. It is cool to look at once but it is easy to set down and forget about. Not to mention they are staring at the same spot on the ground as the skullpirate.

Personally I don't care for the Zombie but the Screaming pumpkin (same body different head) is killer. And I like the combinations of new vinyl techniques and paintjobs being explored. I think classifiying this figure as Junk is a bit harsh. Hats off to Kaji for trying something different. It would be so damn easy for these guys to keep spoonfeeding us what they know we will buy instead trying different things. Main reason that SB stuff rarely excites me.

Hey, its actually nice to see divided opinions on these guys. For change its not blanket hate or blanket love, so they must be doing something right.
Y'know what? Call me Captain insaneo-pants, but I think these have a kind of "Medicom Crouch" going on with them, which I know a lot of people dislike, and maybe put people off.
I don't have the zombies (yet), but the pumpkins do have great presense in my opinion (especially the semi transparent ones), and they look good with other fight figures. They are not something I would want to go completist on, but a handful will look just fine on display at home.
