Post decks and art
Just checked out the refillseven site and the laser deck photos. Can't wait to see how Pushead's art transfers through laser cutting.

It's cool how artists are using decks as a medium, but why are they always on popsicle decks? The shape of the deck adds just as much character as the graphics. Anyone remember the Dogtown Web? Mediocre graphics, but an awesome shape with side scallops.

not old school, not new school...just middle school

what about the dogtown aaron murray tidal wave deck??? that had great webbage....

i can't believe the price that original decks go for on the bay..

if we only knew back in the day!!! they just got skated & thrashed asap,,especially in the days when rails went out-of-fashion...and the handrail/bench sliding scene was really getting started..

i went through 3 jason lee cat-in-the-hat decks around 1988/89...i hear that those go for up to $2000!!!!!

I hear ya, my first deck was a vato rat. And I have a stash of firewood I wish I never thrashed.

See that pus laser deck? Just imagine how much better it would've looked if there was some shape to it.

I think the use of a new deck tends to just be convenience more than choice. If you ever get a chance to pick up the book abrasions check it out. Its a small book thats a companion to a tattoo art/skateboard show. Its about 4 years old but is great. Grime does the foreward and aaron cain does a sweet 3-d piece. I know that alot of mike giants regular decks are on old school pigs.

I had that Dogtown deck. Amazing shape. really wide, hardly any concave and some mad pop. Loved it. I even had neon green grip tape cutout in the shape of a web. I killed the nose on some launch ramp to paddle ball wall rides. DT had the crew back then.
