I'm considering put him up for adoption and would be open to a reasonable trade. PM if interested and I'll send you my want list.
this is from the guy who won the lottery prize at last weeks show. Lovely, maybe he will get a [expletive deleted] for it.

I'm confused. People say that people can whatever they want with toys that they own. Smear paint on them. Have someone else smear paint on them. Whatever.
So isn't this just another example of that?

It's not that it's wrong per se- it's just sort of depressing to see someone win a beautiful Koji custom and turn it around and hawk it at KR.
I think customizing is little different, too, because it shows an appreciation for the sculpt and artistry of the piece.

What a dick! The fucked up part is Brian was the first name to get picked for the grand prize, he declined so a "fan" could get it, then Isaac's lady, same dealio and the Glenn was picked, who also declined coz he got a chase.

WOW So 3 people declined due to good sportsmanship and this dude couldn't even be like "I'm not down with this...NEXT" after the first 3 prior examples?

Jeez ... well, good karma to the three concientious citizens who turned down the win on principle, that's for sure! However, it's sad that their good intentions only enabled the custom to go to someone who doesn't treasure it. This is sort of hard for me to fathom, as the atmosphere at the show appeared to be one of unanimous awed appreciation of Koji's talent.
I have no idea how this sort of thing might be avoided. I think it'd be a shame to kill all raffles and contests on the assumption that nobody can be trusted not to flip or trade their prizes. Maybe charging an entry fee? Nah ... that wouldn't change human nature. I don't know. It's just disappointing to learn about this.
I'm not sure I'm right about this, but part of me is thinking that at least he offered to trade it to kaiju appreciators, rather than simply flipping it on the 'bay or something. Seems slightly better, as a contingency. Hm, I guess.
