I have one.

I'll admit that I wasn't really sold on the TTToy sculpts either when I first saw them. Then I bought my first Grus, and I was sold on the great paintwork; the sculpt is pretty slick too, when you have it in-hand.
Waiting for my set of Patchi-Summit Gulgo + Jequlinan from KT! I would definitely dig having a set of the red and green, too. They would make a nice bouquet with the yellow Jeq.

Don't say that. I remember when people were saying how they didn't like the Cronic sculpts not too long ago- before prices went koo koo bananas.
I think my favorite part about TTToy is that their figures are still affordable and really high quality.

funny, when I first saw Geo's pics of the Grus, I was totally into em. the clear vinyl is just amazing, colors popping. When I got them in hand, I still love them, but their footprint is awkward for my collection. they take up too much real estate....kinda like a crawling hedoran.
i silll like 'em and will buy them, but just found it a bit difficult to display them.

Im really surprised the lava flow Grus is not sold out at grumbletoy.
Especially since its limited to 40!?
I think *some* of these TTT sculpts will stand the test of time.
Specially the invader cause people seem to like the head/eyes.

people went nuts for these the 1st time I ever posted photo's on KR. I don't think people ever really hated on them here but of course nobody ever turned on the Hype Machine either.

Hm, really? Only 40? That is odd, considering how many of us had no trouble finding one.
As regards display awkwardness, I fully understand, but ... coupla things. Twisting the fore legs into different positions affects the height and to some extent anterior width of the thing. I originally had mine nestled on plexi risers on a high shelf, such that I had to look up at them rather than head on or down. From that perspective, they really took on a different appearance. Now I have them on a lower shelf ... not quite as nice.
I don't believe that the Prodons are necessarily supposed to be "baby Grus," but I have matching Prodons sitting in front of my blue and pink Grus ... it really does look like a family.

personally i decided not having the kozik ones doesn't negate the completeness of the "complete collection" as it's a large batch of customs, not a production piece
(yep, i'm enough of a dork to have given this serious thought)

Interesting ... maybe because they don't look like "traditional" kaiju? Far be it from me to comprehend the KR crowd's taste sometimes.
When Playdoh started the "show your monsters" thread, someone over there said that she regarded kaiju as "blasphemy." I don't understand that perspective, especially given that kaiju predates "urban vinyl" by decades.

hmmm, i might have to look at the thread again, but i'm thinking she was referring to another member saying something against hazmapos or unkl, which she always replies with thatone word, "blasphemy". i'll check it out later.
