The GID Pollard thread on KR was started back on March 17, 2007 right before the Killer Dragons event.

A KR member bumped it after checking Flopdoodle today.

In any event, if info was spread between boards it wasn't by me.

I bumped the KR topic (and some french forums and the limitedaddiction forum too) when I saw the GID pollard available at flopdoodle and I do not see why I should not have shared this information with other Tim Biskup fans.

Then I understand that you want to preserve the chances to get those items for the skullbrain forum members so for any infos of this kind posted on this forum I won't post it anywhere else.

I thought this board was started as a alternative/instead of/so we don't have to go to KR.....? Just my two cents...

So why shouldn't he have posted to other boards where other Biskup fans look? Because the people on this board identify with being RFSO? I know plenty of Biskup fans who don't like Kaiju but are fanatical about all his toys. Why shouldn't they have the same chance as everyone else. Especially if holmes just checked flopdoodle and didn't lift the post from here as he said (unless I misread it) Interested in feedback, as I am a little bewildered by the reaction.

I will tell it again: I was not aware of this post on the skullbrain board. I'm registered since last year but I do not often read it (now I will ) I was checking the flopdoodle site at least one time a day since they told us through the mailing list they will sell the GID big pollard online. Therefore when I saw them I post the info where Tim Biskup's fans are used to looking at.

I guess Tim wanted to keep those releases for Kaiju Fans and preserve the few ones available from flippers.

Anyway, if it is the way to do on this board, keep info for members, I'll respect that, no issues.

If they are hardcore fans why don't they check his site periodically to keep themselves up on the latest?...I aint trying to find out about Biskup or Kozik..or insert name here....but somebody always seems to be posting to let us know about some "special offers"..perhaps they should start Fan Clubs or Subscriber lists to let all their true fans know about their next exclusive release....

Does Super 7 get a cut off that since these artists are caking up off this site and the fact that mad people look here as a reference point....

Maybe we should have a toy maunfacturers forum so they could let us know whats going on and we don't miss out on the "special offers" that go on.. Maybe they could post sales reports ala' Kozik so we know how much they have made off us or how well a project went for them regardless if they sold or not....

I came here for Secret Base.....I know this is kinda unrelated to the Flopdoodle sale but didn't know where else to post it.

if you're inferring that an artist/manufacturer should be discouraged from giving this board a heads up on their stuff they know is highly sought after, you should be hit with a silly stick. even if it is not highly sought, i think those who are directly involved in making stuff should be encouraged to post and pimp their stuff in moderation

no, S7 gets no cut. I do , however by a lot of stuff from them, and Brian and Ramos buy stuff from me or we do cool trades.

I think you should start a 'non commercial' Secret base only forum and only allow
people that you like to post on it.

My question was this:
Why were people giving Luffy a hard time for posting to the KR boards if he didn't even get the info from this board. I'm super stoked to be a part of the community but it seemed a little harsh to get down on Luffy for posting to KR.

It was killer of TB to post here and I can only hope I have the income available next time he notifies us of a sale. Hope I cleared up my statement if people misread it

yes, toys are how I make my living, and this is the #1 meeting place for people that buy certain of those lines of toys.I also collect toys and buy as well as sell.

So, I really dont understand whats 'wrong' with going direct to the source rather than through the filter of a commercial sales sight or ebay.

It is the "American Idols" forum, theres a "Secret Base" here too, sometimes people even post about sales over there as well (Black Mummy thread for ex).

Why shouldn't artists let us know about releases here? This board has people who really enjoy Kaiju and imo a far smaller % of flippers than say KR.
