Absolutely one of the very best. Although they were definitely considered part of the original UK punk movement, they were more technically talented than most punk bands. Maybe that's why they don't sound so punk in retrospect. Baroque keyboards are so Rick Wakeman LOL.
'77-81 is it, man. First five albums or so. Everything after "Feline" pales, and even that album is no "Black and White" or "No More Heroes." Good, good memories! Sounds like you landed an excellent score.
When I was 16 I worshipped them. Also Siouxsie's "The Scream" (their only album for me) and Gang of Four's first one etc. etc.
Hah, back in the day, "punk rock nostalgia" was a self-cancelling concept.
