Post more SB holiday releases?
Another question to pose to all of you toy sages. I think someone on here would know this, so here goes:

Are all of the Secret Base releases, well, secret? Do they make their own schedule, or does it revolve more around holidays?

Speaking on the holiday theme, I was just wondering if we could expect a Lucky Ghost Fighter for St. Patrick's Day? with green trunks and green glow body? Why not a "pot of gold" metallic Mantis? Or a Guinness Skull Brain?
Banshee glow Obake?

Could there possibly be an Easter release? Pastel green, blue, yellow colorways of Bees, Brains, etc?

Just wondering if anyone knew the score on how SB releases stuff.

Sometimes it coincides with holidays, but not usually, on valentines day, white day and halloween ahave been consistent. Other than that, most releases are secret or planned in advance for certain events. So, to answer your questions, almost always they are just a regular release.

Funny I thought that was National Give your man a Steak and Blowjob day!

Valentine's Day for men: March 20th....

Every 14th of February you get the chance to display your fondness for your wife or girlfriend by showering her with gifts, flowers, dinner, shows and any other baubles that women find romantic.

Secret...guys feel left out. That's right...left out. There's no special holiday for the ladies to show their appreciation for the men in their life. Men as a whole are either too proud or just too embarrassed to admit it. Which is why a new holiday has been created.

March 20th is now officially "Steak & Blowjob Day."

Simple, effective and self-explanatory...this holiday has been created so your ladies can have a day to show your man just how much you love him. No cards, no flowers, no special nights on the town-the name of the holiday explains it all...just a steak and a BJ. That's it. This twin pairing of Valentine's Day and Steak & BJ Day will usher in a new age of love as men everywhere will try THAT much harder in February to ensure a more memorable March! It's like a perpetual love machine.

The word is already spreading, but as with any new idea, it needs a little push to start the ball rolling. So spread the word, and help bring love and peace to this crazy world.

So that’s why they call it white day.

I think the steak is optional.

Thanks for the info, Brian.

And good point about some of the colorways already out there, VGA. Just thought an all-out Easter theme might make for some interesting colors and packaging. Lucky Egg, anyone? ^_^

Still fond of the idea of a Guinness Skull Brain... anyone know how to make tiny steins for my SB figures? ^_^

Well - both of the ideas assume that the Japanese are big into Easter and/or St. Patricks day. To my understanding (which could be wrong, of course) These are not big Japanese holidays.

Point taken on the holidays' reception in Japan and / or Asia en generale. As far as I know, St. Patrick's Day nor Easter are very popular or even on the awareness scale. But to me, that doesn't change the fact that a glow Ghost Fighter with green shamrock trunks & gloves wouldn't be cool, IMHO.

As far as the holiday issue goes, Halloween isn't exactly a huge thing in Japan either, to my knowledge. Or at the very least it isn't celebrated in the same way or with the same hooplah as it is here in the States. Please, if anyone knows different, correct me if I'm wrong, though. Christmas isn't exactly the same either, but the secular icons have been strongly embraced, like with Halloween. So the Japanese produce pumpkins, ghosts, witches, Frankenstein monsters, and lots of various Santa-type items. So, it seems to me that just because a holiday is not that big a deal in Japan in the more traditional western/US/European sense, that fact seems not necessarily to provide a barrier towards embracing the icons of said holiday. If you follow my theory. That's why I suggest that SB could adapt some new interesting designs based on other holidays.

Or perhaps SB's American partner could do something of such nature (hint hint...) ^_^

This is an interesting little issue, though, and I wonder what your further thoughts might be if any, Zomboid, or anyone else for that matter.

Looking at the date, a Mardi Gras Skull Brain and crew (Krewe?) might be neat as well. Tho I suspect it would tend to look like that "Hidden Boss" version issued a while back.
