I think there is a conspiracy!! Damn you Brian Flynn!! All we need now is a Skull Pirate holding a cup of espresso, wearing Jordan's.

So while all of us were sleeping I was looking at the new juxtapoz and guess what was blown up in the "Toy Box" feature? These Nike exclusives and a bunch for "sought after" vinyl, Exohead, Merry Skullbeebbm, Clear Pink Popsoda. Of course this is great for Super7 and I am a big proponant of people being successful in doing what they love. But whats the official "RFSO" party line on this. I'd imagine that this is probably a bigger "threat" to collecting as the Juxt readership crosses over far more heavily than some bloke from the Guardian.
I know that Juxt is edited by some honcho at Upper Playground, and they have a close relationship. And again I'm not throwing stones, mind you, more power to em. I'm just wondering what the OG's are thinking on this topic.

I think we need to consult the politburo.

I was asking what RFSO collectors think of these figures getting features in "Mainstream Mags" like Juxtapoz. I think we all agree these figs are fresh

Lots of Japanese toys have been in Juxt so that is no big deal. As long as the Nike Talkers an HypeBeast don't show up on SB I could care less.
If it had been a air jordan ghost fighter it would have been lame but this type of corporate marketing is cool with me. It sure beats a trexi with some corporate logo pattern.

Wasn't the Super7 staff contributing the toy content for Juxtapoz at some point? Is that still the case?

Thanks for the comments. A really good friend of mine (we released a few records together) is now one of the main dudes at Brand Jordan. We have worked on a few things together on the design side, and when Brand Jordan decided they wanted to do a toy with the show, he would accept no less than the best, so he called us. It was cool for the project to come around full circle, and tobe working with our friends again. It was a lot of fun.
As far as Jux, we redesigned the mag for them a few issues back, and we help look at it monthly to make sure the redesign stays in place. Additionally, when they have wack toys, we try to suggest better options. Would you rather see another piece of junk, or a great toy that few have had the exposure to see getting a little shine? Just trying to spread the love around for everyone, and make sure that Jux covers real underground items, not items that just pay lip service to it. Needless to say, Jux makes their own decisions, but if they don't know what it is, they can't cover it.
Hopefully more info on the Stealth Cat soon!

Thanks for letting us know whats up. It's killer to see real good stuff in Juxt, "art toys" can be a real mixed bag so its cool to see exciting new stuff in there instead of the same ol same ol.

The article about the Stealth Cat makes mention of ONLY one factory in Japan that can make quality clear vinyl.
Is this true?
