Dang Carl! Please let us know when you get a new job. You are one of the fanatics on here that spice things up.

You must have a great network for how well you interact and contribute unselfishly to the toy community.

Ditto, best of luck finding your pie Carl. I think we all know the crunch at this point...

I work for myself, making fucked up music for fucked up people. Been doing it for 20 years, my first commercially released LP was in 1988 on Earache Records. Last 10 years, I've been getting into more production work for other artists and started a small mastering service for underground artists/labels that can't afford the $200 per hour most mastering suites charge. I release between 1-5 albums a year of my various projects on hip lables like Hydrahead, Southern Lord, Ipecac, Kranky, Archive, Utech, Asphodel, Daymare, etc.

I usually have between $0 - $2000 in the bank at any given time but will still lay down over $200 for a pinstripe Cronic even when the bank account is dwindling. As long as the mortgage gets paid, the pug gets fed, and I have electricity to keep working, money means fuck-all to me. REAL UNDERGROUND SHIT ONLY!

I remember earache - most cool. what slab did you release for them and what other stuff have you worked on/released that some of us might have heard of.

And sorry to hear about the job, Carl. Just about everyone has been through that at one time or another. Keep your chin up - these things always work out. always.

there is an incomplete discography here:

I doubt too many would be familiar, though I have run into a few folks here that know a bunch of the stuff. Everyone's buddy Brian Flynn even helped assemble one of my first 7" releases! Strangely enough, we meet 17 years later through this board and my unrelenting mission to acquire a pinstripe deathra...

If you ask the old religious men who hang around the entrance to my workplace, they will tell you my occupation is "baby killer"

If you ask me, I'll tell you that I'm the manager of a call center for 11 Planned Parenthood locations in Southeastern PA.

"Baby Killer/ Phone Manager"

I'd love to have a buisness card with that on it. I'd replace "killer" with "eater" just to upset more people.
