Thats the Thai version of Hanuman the Monkey God from the Indian epic the Ramayana. In Thailand its called the Ramakiyan. I saw that there was an Ultra Hanuman series of clips on you tube (I stopped watching Ultraman when Captain Cosmic went off the air) with this face. If I'm telling you all shit you already know then my apologies;)

 Re: Hanuman Mask
Hanuman appeared in the movie "Ultra Rokukyohdai tai Kaiju gundan"
This movie was a collaboration between Tsuburaya production and Chaiyo production.

Hanuman is a god in Thailand.
In the movie, he protects Buddhists and earth from criminals and monsters. Ultramans are his good friends.

Well you can't mess with a god can ya? Thor should team up with the Ultraman crew.

I keep coming back to this thread to view that beautiful mask. It's stunning! Thank you for the information about veneration of Hanuman in Thailand. I've always loved Indian paintings of Hanuman but now it's time to learn more about the Thai context.

Thanks for the info, is that Hanuman kaiju rare? I'd love to get my hands on one. You should check out the Balinese version of Hanuman too!

Oh yeah, I used to have a big wild Balinese tapestry of Hanuman and court, not unlike that one. Some good friends own it now but that picture brings back fond memories. Now I feel like hearing Gamelan!

Dude...Gamelan is one of my favorite kinds of music. I remember listening to the "monkey chant" as a teenager just bugging out on the voices...Little did I know it was the Ramayana... killer shit! I'm working on a Hanuman toy design right now actually. Not related to the Thai or Baliense version tho. Strictly Indian

Oh man, best of luck with that project! When you're ready, I'm sure the board would love to see some pictures. Doze's Ganesha was a big hit in the collector community and I'm sure your Hanuman will be well-recieved too.
First time I saw a real gamelan was at the 1974 world's fair in Seattle. I was a little boy but the spectacle hit me in the gut. Later I really fell in love with gamelan and the charms of Balinese dance after seeing a movie about Colin McPhee's ethnomusicology in the early 80s IIRC. There's also a great monkey chant sequence in the flim "Baraka" as you may know.
I just found this webpage about the Six Faces of Hunuman in Thailand.
