I guess my old eyes must need a better picture to see what the big deal is...pop the little bastard's head off and run some water in there...or send it to the crime lab for dna evaluation, whatever...it's not like the whole thing was packed full of dog shit or something...

I tried scrubbing it out... water soap q-tips. It just clean the brown hue off of it. The main goo spot will not come out. It must be glue. oh well.. I'll love it regardless

Nobody knows an email for Secret Base? You figure they could get one QC guy to actually LOOK at the pieces as they get shipped out.

You sure are a good sport about this. I'd request a refund even if I loved the figure. It's just too compromised by the yucky goo. Unacceptable, as someone else said.

i'd be careful if you used acetone on clear vinyl (fucks up the finish).. then again, i guess it couldn't make it worse

i would contact whomever you bought it from (secret base or pusfan) with that pic and see if you can get a replacement. i'm down for being accepting of a ding in the paint here or there but that really looks like ass. super 7 must have some direct contact info on secret base. hiddy should see that.

looks like some release agent that didnt get cleaned off. pop it open and wipe it out with rubbing alcohol, should work.

That's what I was thinking, but would that stuff get crusty like that? That's pretty gnarly. Would it be far-fetched to say that the seller sold it in bag with header, but it was actually previously opened, globbed on, then resealed?

I would think that if it was just spit, vomit, snot or some other human or animal excretement that it would come off easy with soap and water. The idea of left over mold release makes more sense. That stuff can be very stubborn to remove when allowed to dry on vinyl. Back when I use to design 1/6th military figures we got a batch of vinyl boots that was shipped with mold release still on it. I had to scrub that crap off several times with soap and water and it was still a bit tacky (sticky). I eventually used alcohol to get it completely off.
