At least I have more money for toys when I beat up kids in the lunch room when they transfer schools from KR to SB.

It's glorious! Secret Base and Real x Head grow on trees, the rivers and lakes are filled with clear vinyl, you can pick wild matango in the forest and on rainy days it. . .

Rivers of molten hot clear vinyl, refreshing on a warm summer day.

does this mean I shouldn't weigh in on the pricing question?

I can't speak for Playdohpunk but your perspective would be appreciated by me and probably others as the actual issue is interesting. All of us come up with questions about relative value like this from time to time, and we newbs usually benefit from the views of the more-experienced.

ok. I think that price is a little high, I would not pay more than $150-200 shipped. There isn't much demand for these toys because they kinda suck (and I have all 6 of them). I don't think they show up for sale on yja because most of them didn't get bought when they were released. Wait it out.

Despite general RxH love they don't appeal to me, but I wonder how they suck? Unimpressive presence? QA issues? No biggie ... just curious.

they don't display well; they take up a lot of room and all you see it the little face. They lack presence and the paint jobs are sloppy.

Cool, that's what I suspected. I've learned the value of considering diplay-ability. (e.g. love the Dokugan, but it will displace space for three other toys, etc.) Thanks for the info.

make sure if you get it you write down how much you paid for it and put it in the bag. heaven forbid if you get tired of it and put it on ebay you list it at a starting bid below what you paid and an ass-hat like me tries to rip you off

 that's awesome. I love how you give shit to people across threads! :D

and on the other side I think the dogs are great, you don't see them come up often at all because I think they have found permanent homes or atleast until they go for 70k yen, if you have a chance to get them now I say go for it.

I would pay $100 for the Popsoda cyclops if I came across one.

I hated the figures at first, but kinda warmed up to them.
Not an amazing sculpt or execution, but I like the weird heads.

I really like the Pop Soda ones, wish I could nab one, but I won't pay the prices I've been seeing for them.

At the recent S7 release DYBBUKIM pointed out how the face consists of the letterforms that spell "POPSODA."

I didn't get that on my own when viewing the clears. :-)

I thought these would be great because the colorway worked so well on the head/chaos. Unfortunately, the color looks flat and almost gaudy on a larger figure. On the other hand he chaos baby rules.

Well, I'm glad Glenn's comments bought this thread back on track, full circle in fact.

I'm going to paraphrase myself from an earlier post I made that seemed to get ignored in the flurry of aggro: "IMO Don't buy into the hype. Contribute positively to the scene by sensibly choosing whether to spend mega-bucks or not."

I thought more about it since, and I'm going to add:

Ideally, if you can manage it, don’t spend mega-bucks EVER on the open market - even if that means some other guy gets the piece for a low price - contributing on setting unrealistic price points hurts everyone. Helping set a lower price point by not engaging means that the next time that piece comes up it may well be priced accordingly lower which helps all true collectors. It also means that the hyena types will not be attracted by the lure of quick mega profits.

Keep the scene alive. Its small enough that we can all have a positive impact on it.

Case in point: I see prices on this board that now, more than ever, are great deals, more often than not in fact - and I really applaud this!

If anybody happens to have a pair of Dogs hey want to get rid of, please don't hesitate to get ahold of me. I have had them on my want list for a while. The only ones I've found are the sky-high priced ones on that auction site.
