3 points for this. 1- You quoted Fred Willard, 2- Cockles, 3- I too would love looking at the pic until it arrives!

I do not want to encourage this types of outside preorders or sales. we already have an issue with a few people on here that use this as their main sales place.
Andy meant well for sure, but please contact me if you are wanting to do a sale like this on this board.

My guess was to spare people the frustration of opening the thread and getting ready to pre-order only to find out pre-orders are closed. Dunno though

When I started this board i did not plan for commerce, but that became a topic real fast. so my idea is to keep the people that can offer here to a minimum. I try to keep it to people I trust will not take advantage of readers of this site. When I see some rogue pre ordering popping up or some first time poster with a bunch of sales, I take it off. Allowing it will encourage other people to prey on your collecting habits and then lose interest in this awesome hobby.

To set the record straight, let me just say I was only passing along information, sent to me directly from Cronic. I was not selling the toys myself. The GID Dorogami pre-order was Koiwa-san's way of trying to help his overseas fans pick up one of his toys. He cares about his fans and wanted to do something nice for them.
The photo came from Cronic, and all e-mails went to the folks at Cronic. I was just supplying information.
I had no intention of stepping on toes. I'm sorry for any confusion caused or protocol breached.
I didn't know there were rules here against passing on that kind of information from artists. Now that I do I'll be much more careful about the information I post on this site.
Thanks again to everyone who pre-ordered the figure. Koiwa-san really appreciates your support.

Personally I hope to see more Cronic pre-order opportunities here. Sure as hell won't find them on KR or any other board for that matter...

I believe your cronic ordering problem will be resolved soon. We have been in discussion for some time, but broken computers and a move have slowed the process. Please wait for the official date and all will be taken care of.

Did anyone else get their invoice? Are you gonna pay $60 for this mini figure? The S&H charge seems a little nuts to me. Didn't the S7 versions sell for like $35?!? Ithink I bought the gid sprak set of 5 for about $125 on YJA.
Bummer, it is a cool color way.

I may pass on this one purely because of the $25 shipping charge. seems like a lot for a mini.
Unless theres a way to combine orders or something...

You sure you only paid 125? doubt you got the set for less than 5 x 25...

i agree that the shipping charge is quite pricey.
was shocked when i saw that in the e-mail, nearly the cost of the fig itself.

Are the high shipping prices perhaps due to the recent increases to international shipping rates via EMS or USPS international mail? We'd recently discussed how shipping from Kaiju-Taro seemed to shoot through the roof suddenly, and I was pretty surprised when I saw that the lowest "safe" rate I can get shipping something to the UK was about $25.00. I wonder if this is just something we're going to have to life with from now on? I kinda doubt if Cronic is just adding extra dollars/yen to the rates for no good reason ... not that I really know.

Got the notice today.
I'm going for it. I feel like it's a little steep, but I don't have many of these dudes (s7 and the maxtoyco one ordered too) and I'm a sucker for GID. In the end I don't think it's steep enough to stop me. But I understand someone passing on it too.

I don't think they are overcharging for shipping (by much). I just think it might have been a bad idea to sell it this way since the shipping is as expensive as the figure. Just sell them all to S7 and it should be cheaper for most of us.

That's something I never really thought of, why doesn't S7 get much Cronic? Didn't Brian say that there's something being worked out though with them?

Yeah, another staffer said they're working on it as well. If all goes well, Pogue's suggestion may well be the scenario, at least for some Cronic releases, in the future. Win/win, hopefully.

I was told this is the last "regular" release S7 won't get.
