i love gargamel's new minis, but i would kill for a new fight fig sculpt from them. so for now i can just get excited about the new den ace fig.

SB seems to be pretty status quo as far as sculpts but i give them kudos for the effort they gave the new chromed barbarian even if the actual outcome left a little to be desired. and the amoeba man series was for the most part pretty damn cool with the plush insides.

the new metallic red chaos is absolutely stunning. the chaos is the only rxh sculpt i collect due to trying to save myself from going broke, but they (mori) seem to be coming out with new and fresh toys with a bit of regularity lately.

and for me there are still a lot of cool and exciting toys coming out like the new skullwings, mini skulltoys, the mini blobpus toys look awesome, cronic doesn't do much for me but their paint jobs always look real nice, i missed out but i think those new chicken fevers look great.

with all that said, i think the state of toys is pretty good and i don't think i can handle too much more for my wallets sake.

My wallet is empty, therefore I must not be bored.

The Tiffany Brain was awesome, the new Frankenghost looks really nice, the Batman Brain & FC Mummy Brain were both pleasant surprises. I also really like the new Skullwings. I have also been dabbling a bit in areas I didn't care too much about before. I'm just as interested in this hobby now as ever, maybe more so.

There is a ton of stuff out there that is cool, older stuff, stuff from different companies, whatever. I don't think my level of interest has anything to do with a cool new toy coming out.

Honestly, I am little bit bored and tired of seeing the same sculpts and wish there was more stuff from people like Amapro, TTToys and Dream Rocket out there instead of just more colorways of SB and Balzac stuff.

Not bored. This is a very interesting time in Kaiju City.

IMHO boredom comes and goes in cycles. When a hobby become boring, I usually give it a brief rest and focus on other things. If it remains boring, I figure I burnt out on it. I hope not to become bored with kaiju collecting for at least another forty years. :-)

The extra agro going around has been tired, but that's it. The toys have been kicking! Things seem to be cooling off a bit now though, I wouldn't say boring though. I'm still having fun.

I definitely wonder why new sculpts aren't introduced more often from some companies. Different colorways and custom paint jobs keep me interested, though I'd like to see some more variety, especially with SB.

new sculpts + new molds = alot of dough. Why risk it when previous sculpts/colorways make the same amount of money.

I figured it had to do with this, but would rather believe that it's not just about these companies making money. Even though it probably is...

I dig what Blobpus and Cronic do, making newer heads/arms/etc to break it up a bit. Saves some dough for them doing it that way...

not 100% bored but feeling a bit flat. i have finally made the decision to focus mainly on secret base and the qc on recent stuff has been real hit or miss with them. that leaves me bummed leaning toward bored. i got out of westen stuff because of bad qc and if secret base does not focus more soon i may have to refocus on vintage stuff...i dunno...

I personally am feeling a bit bored

I'm not really interested in new sculpts, unless they are of kaiju from tv shows/movies and they are more obscure characters that there aren't too many toys of

as far as fight figures are concerned, I'd rather have 2-3 solid sculpts in a million colors. I don't particuarly care for any of the newer RxH sculpts, and even SxB has been too experimental in my opinion with their newer output

just hit me up with bees and brains, bees and brains, all day

but make them punk rock like the old figures, with that total D.I.Y. style, not too flashy, but with the quality up

Definitely not !

Since all I collect is RxH I'm pretty much set. There are the classic figs always dropping with crazy colors and always new sculpts coming out to look forward to. The QC on them all seem to be top notch as well.

For me, this is actually a great time for collecting.

The repetitive releases of SB and RxH in yet another colour are starting to kind of make me feel empty these days.

On the otherhand, I thought the Strawberry Gas Bawer and new Exoheads shook stuff up earlier this year and were very exciting.

Also getting into streaming video of shows from the past, trading cards and other stuff that can bring more depth and definition to a collection of figures. And trying to get a better understanding of vintage figures.
