I thought the Smery Tofu toys originated in Korea, not Japan? Am I wrong? Not that it matters much. Cute idea. Not for me, but still a funny concept.

Absolutely. A guess is a term generally used as a verb with an object. In its context here the term "guess" meant to "think believe or suppose".
If in 2005 KR was a $5.5 million dollar business (according to that article thats linked), its fair to assume said business is doing substantially better now.
The Dummy craze coupled with KR's apparel line which is being whored out by various and sundry teeny bopper idols ($165 per hoodie) along with the attendant media hype (Maxim articles etc) has likely exponentially increased their profits.
If KR were to go public (if it hasn't already) I suspect that figure isn't that far fetched.
Funiest thing ever said on a message board? Thanks Pogue thats quite a compliment even if it was intended as an insult.
Edit: Gross and net are two extremely different things.
Also the apparel likely took off after that 2005 article and imo apparel income (hoodies etc) will vastly outweigh toy income here in light of their cost at retail and their cost to produce.

As long as they're hand carving cronic and SB this sounds good to me.

it wasn't meant as an insult. I'm always amazed at peoples perceptions of how big the whole toy thing is. I am fairly certain all the western and eastern vinyl combined does not generate 100 mil a year in revenue.

Sorry man. I edited my post above before I read your post.
Apparel is where the money is. Check out Ecko Unlimited.
KR isn't at that scale imo but the big money is in clothing lines not toys.
Edit: KR is a subsidiary of W!ldbrain; Google them. KR's parent company is a major entertainment corporation.
W!ldbrain's clients include: AT&T Ameritech, Chevrolet, Chili's, Dreamworks SKG, The Coca Cola company, Disney Company, Esurance, Ford Motor Company, Frito-Lay, Google, HBO, Hasbro, Hershey's, Honda, Kellogg Company, Kraft Foods, KFC Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Mastercard Worldwide, Mattell, Microsoft, Mastercard Worldwide, Paramount Pictures, Petco, Sears, Sony/Columbia Tristar, Sony Music Entertainment Inc, Target, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, The Wall Street Journal, Xerox Corporation, Universal Studios among many others.

Kenny should be the only KR we talk about here.
if you want to talk about KR products good or bad just do it on the KR board.

Holy shit that's hilarious! Can you imagine seeing a pickup truck speed by you, with that instead of the infamous 'Calvin pissing on something' sticker?
